milkfrost's world

The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

正月初五 ☆ Dinner @ Shin Yeh

CNY Day5 - Meeting Angeline & Sam for louhei at Shin Yeh. Sam listed a few restaurants for us to choose & we ended up coming here cos I was thinking of the Salted Egg Fish Skin which I had recently.
A small bowl of bak kwa is being served as appetizer. Pretty delicious, but it costs $5Since there was 4 of us including Angeline's hubby, we picked the set menu for 4 pax which includes YushengI quite like the yusheng but Angeline says one of the ingredient is very bitter.Apart from the set menu, we also ordered Salted Egg Fish Skin. This is super good lah! Crispy fish skin coated with thick salted egg yolk. Very addictive! We also ordered Pan Seared Pig Liver. Sam highly recommend this dish, which I find it delicious too. Pig Liver is thickly sliced yet not over cooked. First dish from the set menu; Braised Fish Maw & Shredded Sea Cucumber.Taiwan-styled Pan-fried Sea Bass with Soy SaucePoached Seasonla Vegetables with Bamboo Fungus & ConpoyKampung Chicken with Spring Onion Oil. This is quite a disappointment as it's kind of tasteless & the chicken is not very tenderFried Rice Noodle with Pumpkin is good. Walnut Cream with Glutinous Rice Dumpling. Apart from the Kampung Chicken, the rest of the dish are pretty goodA shot after the dinner is a must =)
