A&W | Dinner w/Bff

It's been months since A&W step foot back into the shore after being away for at least a decade. Finally I have the chance to patronize them!

I was at their Ang Mo Kio branch on a weekday evening around 5.30pm and there was already a queue. Upon checking with the staff, I decided to join the queue around 6.15pm while waiting for le bff to arriveThe queue clears pretty fast & within 10 mins, I was already at front of queue. I was a distance away when I join the queue. I waited in the queue till I got le bff's order & I was then allowed to move to cashier to order.Surprisingly, the food was ready within 3 mins but I am still waiting to collect my drink! The buzzer buzzed 4 times before I finally collect my drinks & head over to collect the food!Because Coney Dog is kind of small, I also ordered an ala carte 2 pc Fried ChickenWho can resist Waffle & Ice Cream after a meal? 

Anyway, it was pretty good to have A&W back on the shore. Hopefully they will have a couple more outlets soon so that the queue will be dispersed across the island

It was quite an impromptu day trip and most ferry were full. The next available ferry to Harbour Bay Ferry Terminal is in 2 hours, unless we take up business class which is available in the next hour. And so yes, we took up business class with Horizon Ferry & go on board the one that is an hour away.Grabbed a cuppa hot chocolate from CBTL for my journey across the seaFirst time here, the new Harbour Bay Ferry TerminalReborn Foot Reflexology, a must-go place when we're in BatamAfter foot massage, we head out for lunch at A&WFollowed by grocery shoppingWhile my basket is only 20 tubs of body scrub, check out my bff's basketThen we went back for snack & dessert at A&WBack to Reborn for back massage.. hahaLast on the list, Wey Wey Live Seafood for dinnerLet's feast on!Grabbed a drink while waiting for ferry home, and that's how the staff at Starbucks staff spell my nameAnd that concludes our day tripTill we meet again, Batam!

Impromptu JB Trip

An impromptu JB trip with the AFamily

Taking a break at A&W before doing grocery shoppingWhile they do grocery shopping, I check out for the Himalaya Salt candy. 

RM$1.70, which is about S$0.55/pt as compared to 2pt for $1.50 in Singapore, but stock also limited sia! There's only 5 boxes when I was at the counter. I purchased 2 boxes and when I went back 15 mins later, the balance of 3 boxes are gone!

We also had a 10 mins brief meet up with May (my ex-colleague) who happened to be having dinner nearby before she head home. Cos we had a heavy tea-break at A&W, we couldn't finish these and so I had to tabao home some 😆
