The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

Lenas by MOF | Dinner w/Team

Left the office late with Reines and so we decided to go for dinner at Lenas by MOF before heading home. Since we only decided on dinner when we reached Tampines, we called Siew Hoon who is still in the office to join us
Spoil for choices cos the menu is too intensive for a casual dinnerPotato wedges to kick start while waiting for  Siew Hoon to comeGrill Chicken with mushroom sauce w/corn & onion ring for myselfDesserts to end the end but we were a little too ambitious. I had creme brulee while they both had banana fritters w/ice cream. Little did we expect that the banana fritter is quite a huge portion!

Ippudo SG & Lenas

Impromptu dinner with Ivy cos I'm beginning to rot at home. Was supposed to meet her at West Mall but changed to Westgate cos she has craving for ramen

We settled at Ippudo cos she heard quite a bit of good reviews & there isn't any queue at the time we reached

Wanted to try the Shrimp Bun but it was not available at Westgate, so I opt for Potato Salad. Potato was not too mushy & zucchini adds additional crunch to the salad, but portion is a little huge

Oroshi Ponzu Gyoza - served with raddish, spring onion & ponzu sauce. Skin of the gyoza is not too thick, not overly pan-fried & the filling is very juicy

Ivy had Shimaru Motaoji (classic ramen)

I had Spicy Special Tonkotsu. Fragrant garlic oil is being & miso paste is added into the broth & it's very sweet. Chilli is not too spicy & doesn't musk the sweetness of the broth. Egg, Pork Cube & Bamboo Shoots are served on a side plate. The noodle is springy & you can also select the thickness of the noodle.

Something to note: they do not do takeaway orders or pack your leftover due to stringent food quality

We were quite full from dinner, so decided to loiter around before getting desserts

Loiter & wonder from Westage to JEM; back to Westgate & finally back to JEM to get desserts at Lenas by MOF

Super thirsty I ordered a pint of Grape flavored beer =D

Creme Brulee with Passion Fruit ice cream.

Sundae for Ivy.

Not the best venue, but decent for desserts.

Lenas by MOF

Pre-Labour Day dinner with Ivy. She needs to run some errands at Jurong Point, so she dated me for dinner since I'll be working slightly late on month-end.

Met up with her about 7pm and we decided to give Lenas by MOF a try. We were quite lucky as there isn't any queue when we reach & the snake queue started almost immediately we were seated!

2 sets of Menu - 1 from Lenas & 1 from MOF were presented upon seated. Meaning, you can order the Best of Both Worlds!

Simple table setting

I had Iced Mint Lemon Tea w/Ice Cream $6.50 while Ivy had Red Wine $5 (with any ala carte ordered)

Starters to start our meal - Garlic & Butter Escargot $8.80
Simple yet satisfying. Love the over-baked garlic!

Parma Ham & Shrimps Bruschetta $9.80
The dressing on the side is supposed to be for the side salad, but we pour it over the bruschetta. Not quite sure what is the dressing, but it taste like normal oil & vinegar with a hint of Pesto.

Personally, I would prefer if the bread is lightly toasted.

Grilled Dices Salmon in Egg Sauce $14.80
Quite disappointed with this dish as the Salmon is fried before putting into the hot-pan. This cause the Salmon to be over-cooked when it's being served and the hot-pan continues to heat upon serving.

White Wine Vongole Hot-Pan $12.80
Pretty good, but can't find much clams. A lot of empty shells

We also top up $1.50 for a side salad

Food for 2 girls - Not full from the amount of food we had, so we decided to order desserts.

Breaded Banana Brownie Hot Pan $12
I initially wanted it with Melon, but they ran out of stock, so I ordered this. Not for someone w/out sweet tooth cos this is very sweet!

Ivy had Japanese styled Creme Brulee w/mochi & Green Tea Ice Cream $6.80
A bit bland on the Creme Brulee. Not the kind that I would like.

While gossiping after dessert, we found a "drunk" housefly on Ivy's emptied glass of wine! =D
