milkfrost's world

The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

湘香湖南菜 & Ah Chew Desserts | Dinner & Dessert w/Ivy

Impromptu dinner date with Ivy and we decided to try 湘香湖南菜
Can't recall the dish name but the green chili century egg is pretty delish. Not spicy despite having plenty of green chili in the dish, but we wish there's more century eggs thou.Cauliflower is superb! I personally wished that there's more pork lard thou.Main dish is the fish in pickled vegetables broth. We both feel that the fish is kind of rubbery but taste is good.Head over to Ah Chew Dessert before calling the day off.
Thanks Ivy for dating me out dinner cos else I'll probably rot at home & order delivery 😂

Steamboat again!

A-Team meets for dinner since most of us are free. Prakash suggested going for tulang @ Beach Road but Doreen & myself are not interested, so we end up having steamboat @ 重庆正宗老火锅.

Myself, Doreen, Carol & Jenny meet up at Bugis Junction & walked over to chop seat first cos Prakash & Fizah both overslept, while Nizam, Rafi & Kogu went swimming at ONEdegree15 before coming over. Angela is stuck in jam, so she's late!

重庆正宗老火锅 opp Shaw Tower

What a nice table number.. my favorite!

Double pot with Tom Yum & Chicken

Sauces.. chilli, sesame sauce (not nice) & peanut sauce

Stuffs we had.. 2 pots for 10 of us, so 1 pot is strictly no pork allowed while 1 pot is no beef allowed

Seafood stuffs

Ready to start without the guys!

Table & food for 10.. first round only.. haha

Miss Doreen

with Carol, my "lesbian" .. ok, I'm perfectly straight but cos I see her more than I see my own sister, everyone calls her my lesbian ;p

Head down to Ah Chew Desserts after steamboat

Table 17, Carol's favorite number.. but we were "shifted" to another table after awhile, which is what I don't like about it.

Myself & the girls while waiting for the desserts

Desserts came in less than 10 mins.

Disappointment #1 - They shouldn't insisted that customers shift to another table to accommodate other customers.

Disappointment #2 - Peanut Paste that I ordered look thick enough, but is totally tasteless!

Disappointment #3 - Place is so stuffy & hot! Cannot feel aircon at all

I don't think I would visit again unless really necessary

Lunch, Dessert & Shopping

Lunch @ Wild Honey - anther place that offers all-day breakfast menu.. cool! Not sure if they take reservations, but if they do, you better make reservation cos the waiting time is about 45 mins during weekend lunch!

Food taste was quite good & so it's worth the 45 mins wait! If you're a small eater, I suggest u share cos the portion is quite huge!
Dessert & tea @ Antoinette. Saw quite a long queue & we thought it might be a long wait. To our surprise, we were shown to a table for 2 immediately! We were quite full from the lunch actually, but since we don't have to wait, we proceed in & ordered a pot of tea each & a little cake to share. Ordered the most talk-about Earl Grey cake & felt that it was not as fantastic leh.. the 'balloon' thingy when poked, the raspberry doesn't really ooze out & no Earl Grey taste. Not sure if it's because we're still bloated or it's just simply not so nice. Will need to go again & give it a try before deciding. Than we went to walk around the flea @ SCAPE cos Eve wanna get a space to sell her livejournal stuffs. Me bought some more nail stickers thou.. Finally, we went NAC cos I wanna get a cake for Kogu's birthday, but when we walk passed Loewe, she asked if we can go in & take a look at the bag she's aiming for quite sometime. When we're in... ... she tried on few colors & finally decide on the brown one! Small cross-body (I dunno the exact name of it lah) @ $1450! It was only selling for abt $1.2k @ Reebonz, but she dun mind paying more cos she says she's paying for the service & she gets to try on it! Oh ya.. than she went Celine & leave her name on the waiting list for one of the bag, which is abt $3.2k! Rich girl she is!
