milkfrost's world

The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

Daiso & Swensen's with the Boys

No swimming lesson on 5th Sunday of the month, so the boys are free. We initially planed to go to the beach, but since they've got free tickets for RWS Adventure Cove & went on Saturday, we decided to just rest at home. Plus I'm trying to recover the butt pain from my cycling =D

In the late afternoon, we went Bukit Panjang Plaza cos sis needs to get something from Daiso. The boys started fooling around with the hats & Halloween headbands.

Big boy wants to eat WF (Western Food.. nowadays he's full of short forms!), so we had dinner at Swensen's

They have interesting kid's menu these days.

The hungry boy

us all =)

The kid's meal comes with choice of selected drinks. Damien wants an Iced Milo while sis had the Orange Juice

Daryl says the drink for kid's meal is too small for him. He wants the Milo Dinosaur Float! The drink is kind of messy with milo & whipped cream flowing out when it's being served to us. The milo powder on top of the drink is also very little.

Deep Fried Blue Mussel coated with batter. I find it overly fried and the batter is bland. Could not taste the freshness of the mussels also

The boys wanted soup, so we ordered a Clam Chowder & a Mushroom Soup in Sourdough Bread Bowl. Both the soup are thick & creamy and generous servings of ingredients in the Clam Chowder. Bread bowl id crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside

Instead of sticking to my usual Crayfish Pasta, I tried the Spicy Seafood Pasta with Grilled Scallop. It was rather tasty thou I don't find it spicy. Ingredients are fresh & the scallops are fat & juicy

The kid's meal is being served on a paper rocket with burger & fries on a tray & a cup of corn at the side

Both the boys choose Eggy-licious Burger which has a sunny-side-up on top of a beef patty, with fries at the bottom of the burger

I had the new Salted Gula Melaka for dessert, which is really nothing fantastic

The boys are happy with the Eggy-licious Burger they're full of smiles

Greedy boy drinking mummy's orange juice after finishing his milo! See how he drinks?! A sip of juice, a sip of water!

Then we brought Damien for a quick haircut before letting them play at the playground

On a side note, I bought a set of Badminton racket from Daiso cos my Secondary School mates wanna go play badminton! I shall see how the $2 racket works & then decide if I should get a proper racket =D

Cycling & Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe

The Voodoos organized another cycling outing at East Coast Park cos they says I need a refresh course after training session. During the training session, I only cycle less than a hour. This time, I manage to cycle on my own for close to 2 hours without anyone holding the bicycle!

With my little backpack, adidas shoe & tupperware tumbler, I'm ready!

Since I'm early, I had my late lunch at McDonald's first while waiting for them to arrive. I ordered Samurai Burger Meal with additional Hot Fudge Sundae. Honestly, I still prefer Samurai burger without mayonnaise & lettuce to taste the original teriyaki sauce. The pool of sauce you see at the side, it's a mixture of garlic chilli + ketchup + black pepper. I swear, this is the best sauce combination for fries. Another way of enjoying the fries is to dip it in hot fudge sundae. You're really got to try it!

Met up with the rest & we girls (Penny, myself, Angela & Ivy) took a picture while Whye Wan & Wencai went to meet Raymond at the carpark cos he couldn't find his way.. Zzzzz

While cycling, I almost hit a baby in pram cos the whole Muslim family of 8 was walking a straight line on the bicycle track & block the entire track! Luckily I manage to "siam" them but almost fall from my bike. When Ivy told them to stay on the pedestrian track as it is not only dangerous for cyclist, it is also dangerous for them especially when they have a baby in pram, one of the guy mumble to his family in Malay to ignore us! Honestly, what's wrong with these people? So inconsiderate can?! Sometimes I really wonder if they understand English or just simply inconsiderate!

We continue our ride & finally reached McDonald's. As I'm quite tired, I asked them to go ahead while I rest my feet cos my butt is super painful =D

After resting for awhile, I slowly make my way back to the bicycle rental shop (Lifestyle Bike N Skate) before heading to Changi Airport Terminal 3 for dinner

Every restaurant has a super long snake queue, so we ended up at 新旺香港茶餐厅

As we're in such a big group, we waited for an hour or so to get a table. Thus, took some pictures while waiting

Stew Beef noodle. noodle texture was just right & the beef is very tender. Radish on the other hard is not as soft as expected

Chives Dumpling. Pan fried to golden brown on one side while the it's moist on the other side. Fresh ingredients inside are juicy

Custard Bun is nice with custard flowing out even when the bun has cool down.

Prawn wrap in beancurd skin. Prawn inside is fresh & sweet but it's slightly oily

Complimentary Beancurd with Mango if you spend $50 in a single receipt & charged it to any POSB/DBS card

Ice jelly with watermelon, longan & pearls

The Soup Spoon Union & Fruit Paradise

Friday dinner with Angela & Ivy. We were supposed to go for a chill out session at Timbre but we changed the venue to The Soup Spoon Union as I had very bad gastric in the morning.

The Soup Spoon Union - a new concept where they merge The Soup Spoon, The Hand Burger, Soup Broth Asia & Mill Press Brew together. Customers are able to choose from 4 different food joints while seated at 1 restaurant.

Condiments available to all tables

Waiting electronic number is given should you need to wait for your food. While most places requires you to bring the electronic tag to the counter when it buzz, here they will locate you when it buzz

My meal Soup + half salad + Ice lemon Tea

Half Caesar Salad. I forgot to ask for it to be served without cheese, so gotta make do with it. Luckily the smell isn't that strong

I opt for Toyko Chicken Stew Soup with generous servings of chicken, lotus root, golden mushroom, carrots. Soup is sweet & all the ingredients are very soft.

I also ordered a portion of Spicy Wedges for us to share but the girls are quite full from their own soup & burger, thus we couldn't finish this

Angela had Boston Clam Chowder Soup + half Asia Tofu Salad + Ice Lemon Tea

Ivy's Chicken Caesar Burger meal. She was expecting the Chicken to be grilled but it was fried. However, no complains from her.

We went shopping around cos we were quite full from the dinner & happen to see this Singlish Calendar in a shop. Every month, date & day has an individual Singlish on it. We went ahead to check out what out Birthday this years says & mine ended up saying "Jin Suay Ah!" =D

After shopping, we went Fruit Paradise for dessert

I had a pot of Pink Rose Bud Tea & a slice of Nutty Caramel

Salty Caramel cream on sponge cake with mixed nuts & fresh fruits. Salty caramel is salty while the fruits & nuts are sweet. Both saltiness & sweetness blends together quite nicely

The girls shared a slice of Mango. I didn't try this cos it's with cheese cream but the girls love it.

Angela's coffee

We didn't stay very long here cos the air-con is very stuffy
