milkfrost's world

The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

Just Like it!, Resorts World Sentosa

After stuffing ourselves silly at Coca Restaurant, we head over to Just Like it! for some Ice Cream since Sam, Theresa & Angeline have yet to try.

Huh? Why so many Test Tubes & what's dripping at the back of the counter? Read on... ...

Just Like it! is a place where they made the ice cream on the spot by using liquid nitrogen to cool down the mixture at a rapid speed upon confirmation of you order. If you have missed my previous post, here's a video of cooling process.

Since's Durian Durian is not available, I decided to try out Rum*Mint. Ice cream is very smooth & the mixture of rum & mint is just nice. Not too strong on the alcohol. They also uses low fat milk in the mixture, so do not take too long to eat the ice cream cos it melts quite fast

Theresa after trying a mouthful of mine & Sam's Flaxky Chocolate, she bought a cup of New Popcorn (caramel popcorn flavor and bits of crushed popcorn). If you like something crunchy, this is a must try.

A little disappointment here: Staffs told me they do not have the big bowl (see picture below or post here) for serving the ice cream for dining in just like the branch in Tampines1. But... ... the next day, photos of them serving ice cream in the big bowl to other customers at RWS branch surface in their Facebook page

Why so double standard one? if it's because you're closing for the day, just tell me so lah.. as a previous F&B manager, I can fully understand that. Or just give me an excuse saying that the stock for the bowl is not in yet cos you're newly open.

Anyway, remember the photo with lots of Test Tubes above? Here's what's for!

Test Tube Coffee

Drip coffee served in 7 Test Tubes! 1 test tube of milk is also provided, together with a bowl of sugar cubes. I seriously don't see the need in serving a bowl of sugar cubes lah. They could have just put 2 cubes of sugar on the dish.

To drink the coffee, you've got to use the clip to hold the Test Tubes & pour it into the cup provided. Very interesting concept. I didn't try the coffee but Sam says it was very thick & full of flavor.

Apart from the bowl incident, service staff here were generally friendly & one of them even patiently waited for us to finish taking picture of the Test Tube coffee before explaining to us how to go about handling the coffee.
