The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

Blk 51 庆中元

Mum called last minute to ask us to attend the Lunar 7th Month dinner at Blk 51 Bedok South Road as her boyfriend has a total of 2 tables! Only sis & myself can make it, so we went for the dinner.

The table is very small for 10-person, but luckily our table has only 4 person including me!

Food was catered from Xiang Man Yuan Caterer

Mum's favorite drink

1st dish - Combination Platter: Jelly Feet & Chicken Feet in Thai Chili Sauce (weird combi); Prawn w/an overly sweet mayonnaise; Fried Chicken which some are over-fried; Otah is probably the nicest item of all; Century Egg; Seasoned Octopus

Can you see a piece of fried chicken on the table? The server drop a few pieces of chicken on the table & yet just leave it as it is! @_@

2nd dish - Soup. Honestly, I couldn't make out what soup is that cos there are chicken, fish maw, mushroom, scallops & few types of herbs, but it taste pretty good

3rd dish - Some Clams with Thai Chili Sauce, Achar & Peanuts which is quite nice & Meat roll. This is very nice with chestnuts inside to add on the crunchiness

4th dish - Herbal Duck. Duck is a little bland but the sauce is nice as there are chinese sausgaes & ham under the duck. Duck is very tender also

5th dish - Steam fish, which is really bland

Me & sis in-between the dishes

6th dish - Finally a vegetable dish! Some Mustard greens with mushrooms, scallops & mock duck.

7th dish - Over cooked Prawns w/overly sweet mayonnaise

8th dish - Braised Pork w/steam bun. By this time, we were all filled to the brim we couldn't eat anymore. I managed to try a very small piece of the pork & it's very tender! We end up tabao-ing all the braised pork & the buns home!

Thanks to mum's idea of buying these plastic bags before the dinner starts! This is so useful people from other tables came & asked if we could give them some so that they can tabao also! =D=D=D

Lastly, Red Bean ice cream. Needless to say, we tabao all home! hahaha
