milkfrost's world

The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

True Yoga, Wild Honey, NYDC & EAT.

True Yoga, Wild Honey, NYDC & EAT.

That's what we CCSS-ians did when we met last Sunday! We started off the day by attending a session of Traditional Yoga @ True Yoga. EmilyL is planning to take up a Yoga package with True Yoga, so together with the husband Anthony, EmilyG & her son Ramdy, they went for a trial class while I booked my own class since I'm already a member

What's Traditional Yoga ? Using the traditional yoga concepts for standing, sitting and lying postures, Traditional Yoga is an energetic form of yoga. It encompasses poses from the Sun Salutation series, other asanas and pranayamas which provide a good cardio workout. Prior experience in Hatha Yoga (Beginners) is encouraged to fully benefit from this class

After the session, we met up with David & his family for brunch at Wild Honey. We didn't manage to talk to him since the fatal incident that happened to his dad & brother in Jul & then he's back in Batam to prepare for his new shop's opening. His new outlet just opened few days before out meet up, but he rushed back for our meeting cos he said he has already promised us. Had quite a good chat with David & his wife over brunch

It's brighter here at Scotts Square compare to the branch at Mandarin Gallery. Also, here they provide menu & have servers taking your orders when you're seated. At Mandarin Gallery, you will need to order on your own with the menu at the back of the counter top. They also takes table reservations at Scotts Square branch.

They also give you tips on how to make your food picture looks pretty

Latte w/out fanciful latte art

My Hot Chocolate with a huge cube of mash-mellow & Randy thought it was a huge cube of sugar

Emily's I Love NY Breakfast

David's daughter Chloe has recently been detected that she is allergic to Egg & Dairy products. Thus, David's wife ordered a Goat's Cheese Salad for her. She is very guai to finish up the entire bowl of salad!

Most of us had the signature dish - English Breakfast - scramble eggs, bacon, pork sausage, potatos, baked beans & bread. What else can you ask for? I wish I can have this everyday!

I also add on a piece of Avocado =D

David's wife has Norwegian and no complains from her.

Service here were pretty good except for the 2 staffs had to ask me if they clear my plate when I'm not even done eating. Well, how do you place your utensils when you're resting or done with your meal?  According to this article, my knife position might a little wrong, but it's pretty obvious that I'm not done with my meal! So I guess they should somehow educate the staffs to "read the utensils" to avoid being screamed at by other customers

After parting with David, we decided to go for a drink. Walked & landed at NYDC Wheelock.

Some lattes that they ordered

High & Mighty. Not sweet & not chocolaty enough. Not as fluffy as compare to the one from Au Chocolat

Wall Street Carrot Cake; Didn't try this but no complains from EmilyL

My Mudpie Extravaganza - not fantastic but ok. I don't quite like the nuts inside.

Southern Chicken is over-fried & a little hard

Although they serve ice water, they do not refill the water when your glass is empty. Also, one of the waiter even throw the menu on the empty table instead of putting it down.

We then went shopping again cos EmilyL & Anthony wanna look at Badminton Rackets while I wanna look for scooter. We then end up at EAT. @ Far East Plaza for a quick dinner before heading home

Fried Dumpling. Nothing to rave about

Satay Bee Hoon is good. Peanut sauce is flavorful & lots of peanut in it. Cockles are fresh & cuttlefish is soft & not chewy
