milkfrost's world

The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

Exhibitions @ Art Science Museum

After lunch at Kraze Burger with the buddy, we head over to Art Science Museum for some exhibitions.

They are currently having 3 exhibitions, namely:

Mummy Secrets of the Tomb
27 April - 4 November 2013

Essential Eames: A Herman Miller Exhibition
29 June 2013 - 5 January 2014

50 Greatest Photographs of National Geographic
17 August - 27 October 2013

While waiting for Ivy, we took some photos outside the museum & here's my silly buddy fooling around with her boyfriend =D

We bought tickets to all 3 exhibitions, $28 However, local residents gets $4 discount (haha.. perks of being a local) when you show your Identification Card or Driver's license.

We decided to the visit the Mummy: Secrets of the Tomb first to catch the 3D show at 2.30pm (The show is screened every 30 mins)

There's also Quest for kids aged 3-16 years

Very cool 3D paper specs provided for all & you're allowed to bring it home as souvenirs

Very cute signage

Sorry, photography is strictly prohibited but I couldn't help but snap a picture of the 3,000-year old mummy of Egyptian temple priest Nesperennub

Few of the great photos which I find it interesting

There's also a "wishing globe" for everyone to write their wishes on the ribbons provided & hang on the "globe" but there isn't anymore ribbons available when I was there

Evelyn & her boyfriend left early, so myself & Ivy head on to Essential Eames: A Herman Miller Exhibition

Erm... ... we couldn't really make out what's the exhibition is all about. We reckon it's about some engineering/ design stuffs. Most of the items are about furniture. The only thing I find it interesting is this cute Elephant stool =)

For those who are interested in any of the above exhibitions, do make a trip down now as Mummy Secrets of the Tomb & 50 Greatest Photographs of National Geographic is coming to an end soon
