milkfrost's world

The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

Edge, Pan Pacific - Charlene's Birthday Dinner

Charlene's belated birthday dinner treat from both myself & Carol. Was supposed to go to The Line last month, but she requested to change to last Friday evening. She also asked fo a change of venue & Carol suggested Edge. I was lucky to be able to secure a reservation just one day before the dinner.

I was the first to reach (as usual) & waited for them at one of the sofa along level 3

Since both are late, I decided that I should show up on time to get the table

Different types of tables & chairs all around

Our allocated table

As I asked for a baby chair, the restaurant was automatically being set-up with a set of kid's cutlery, which not all restaurants do

Being my first visit, the server was nice to inform me that the number tags on the table are for diners to just bring it to the chef at live station & the server will have the item served to you when it's ready. There is no need for diner to wait at the live station.

Me - bored! Still waiting for them to arrive after being late for 30 mins!

**oh Hi ~ They're finally here! **waves**

Finally they're here. so.. ... whack the food, starting with seafood

Sashimi

More seafood. Seafood here are very fresh & sweet =)

Tempura & some Thai salad

Tom Yum soup which is quite good

Laksa, which I personally find the one I had at Marriott Cafe is better. The gravy here is not that thick.

Roast Duck, Roast Chicken, Roast Pork & Char Siew

Not very keen in all the cooked food, so only took Sambal Crayfish, Beef, Satay & Pork Ribs

Carol took Indian Rojak. Sauce is packed with flavor but there isn't much selections on injregients

Rojak, which is quite disappointing as the you-char-kuay is very hard, but the sauce is good thou.

Squid Ink pasta - Aglio Olio styled. Apart from being not spicy & a little too oily, pasta is quite well done

More oysters

Dessert time - Waffle! Not quite satisfy my waffle craving cos the waffle has the cinnamon taste

Fruits to end the dinner

Ashton super engrossed in the video on youtube

Happy Belated Birthday, Chalene, Ashton & Ashlyn (who is sleeping at home)

I also requested for a birthday cake. The staffs even sang them a birthday song when they brought out the cake

Pictures!

Ashton is amazed by the monopod & mobile remote control so we took a few pictures =D

I missed Ashton & Ashlyn's birthday last month, so I bought them a Large Craftholic each.
