milkfrost's world

The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

Afternoon Tea @ Portico, I See I See

It's been a while since we had afternoon tea. Ivy came across a very beautiful picture of hi-tea in the gardens and went google for the restaurant.

She came across a post on Daniel Food Dairy & found Portico Prime. Apart from the venue, it also comes with a discount code! Jumping on the discount, she called & was shocked that most weekends are full, except for this Sunday and luckily Angela & myself is free!
Outdoor seatingWe were assigned to indoor seating as it was kind of rainingBut we requested for outdoor since by the time everyone of us arrived, the rain had already stopped.Tea/ coffee is free flow with the hi-tea set.Scones are served with kaya, clotted creme & raspberry jamHere comes the pretty hi-tea set! Served in a 4 tier wooden tray.A little difficult to take full picture of the beautiful hit-tea set, I decided to lay flat all the tiersChilled truffled-scented angel hair pasta, Skewer of tiger prawn, Crostini of Asian-cured salmonE'clair of Singapore-styled chilli crab meat, Fish otak-otak toast, Squid & salted egg croquettePeanut Butter cookies, Marsala Chai Tea cakeBandung rose cream strawberry lychee tart, Pistachio nut cranberry white chocolate tart, Homemade carrot cakeCheesecake, Deconstructed Blackforest, Apple Crumble Tart
Savory items are pretty good & sweets are decent. Thus, quite reasonable for the price tag lah. Environment is very relaxing too.
After hi-tea, we took a bus to Orchard & went for some hand-crafted ice cream - ISEEiSEE I had the Kiwi stick which I love it cos of the sourness while they had Raspberry & Orange stick
