The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

Kuriya Penthouse

Went for a casual lunch date with Hazel, Sam & Wendy this afternoon at Kuriya Penthouse, Orchard Central - Japanese fine dining restaurant.

I was initially intimidated by the hefty price tag on the March Promotion that they running, but soon found out that they do offer affordable set lunch on their menu. As the ingredients are freshly air-flown from Japan, it is recommended to pre-order 3 days in advance. Do note that charges applies should you fail to turn up, or make any cancellations.

At Kuriya Penthouse, you can expect excellent service from the servers. At one point of time when I accidentally dropped a side of my chopstick, the server who was standing a distant away immediately fetch me a pair of new chopsticks & I got a new pair of chopsticks in less than a minute! Impressive!

Anyway, I shall let the pictures do the talking

Entrance of Kuriya Penthouse, Orchard Central

Once you enter, you'll be greeted with lots of "Awards"

The Sushi Bar

Further in, a bar for beverages

Cozy sofa seats inside. Outdoor seating also available

Table setting with pretty flower

~Oh, in case you noticed.. Yes, the chopsticks are usable on both sides! We decided to ask the server why is the chopsticks usable on both ends & we were told that one side is for eating & the other side is for stirring the Miso soup. Also, some use it for wet & dry seaweed!

Upon seated, the server immediately bring each lady guest a stool for the bag

Can't remember the exact name of this, but it's Plum wine with a touch of Peach. The server recommended the drink to be on the rock & look at the size of the rock.. it's so different from the usual rocks!

Myself & Sam ordered Shokado "Kaede" - $37.80

Our meal started with Starter of the Day, which is Fried Seafood with vinegar & vegetables

"Tsubaki" also has the same starter as "Kaede". As for the Bento, it consists of 3 kinds of Appetizer; 3 kinds Sashimi of the Day; Omelette & Grill Fish; Prawns & Vegetables Tempura
