The Chicken Rice Ball

Colleague treat us to The Chicken Rice Ball from Jalan Besar for lunch today cos he finds it interesting! 

He wanted to buy 1 whole chicken cos 7 of us are eating, but the owner insisted that half a chicken is enough. In the end, each of us only had like 4-5 pcs of chicken! 

The Rice balls - 2 balls = 1 portion of rice

(I find it not as fragrant as those normal ones which you can find everywhere!)

The Chicken - very smooth, & instead of light soy sauce, the owner uses dark soy sauce

The Braise Egg & Pork - I believe the egg is braised overnight cos the inner of the egg white is slightly darken. Braise pork is very soft.. nice!

The Chilli - Very spicy, but not the usual chilli. This is slightly wet & can;t really taste the vinegar. It has alot of the chili seeds as well. 

(I still prefer the usual type of chilli where u can a add dark soy sauce, garlic & ginger to it one!)

After eating this meal, colleague says he won't go all the way to Jalan Besar just to buy this. But he will go all the way to Jalan Besar to buy the famous Scissors Cut Curry Rice. I quite agree to what he commented actually!
