Birthday dinner for the teenage friend at East Treasure Chinese Restaurant

The moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with lots of roasted ducks hanging in the cabinets that looks damn appetizing. However, when we were placing our order, we're told that it's not available. When I questioned on the availability, answer from the manager was "it's not available for anyone, anytime." 😒

Crispy eggplant is pretty good.
Chilled Spicy Cucumber
My main intention & the only dish that I wanted to try is the Crocodile Soup which many people have been raving about it. Meat was tender & the herbal flavor in the soup was pretty strong.
Broccoli w/Prawns
Sweet & Sour Pork
Fried Chicken
Tofu w/mince Pork
Golden Tofu which I feel it's totally bland.
Prawn Roll
Fried Noodles
Red bean pancake, but is it normal to be served without sesame or they just run out of sesame?
Desserts are also not quite impressive.
Utilized our staff voucher (now I'm wondering if the manager is being hostile cos we're using staff voucher) for part of the payment.

The moment I open up the cover, I can immediately smell the gula melaka & pandan flavors. It was very delicious & the crust almost melts in the mouth!
I also tried microwaving it for a couple of seconds as recommended, and it was boom cos the gula melaka was like lava, very yummy!

Thus, I decided to get myself a pair of progressive glasses.
This pair that I've chosen comes with a clip-on shade.

Collected the pair of glasses 2 weeks later & only to realize a day later, that they did the lens with wrong prescription! Had to send it back again for them to re-correct the power on the lens.
I also bought additional eyewear cloth & soft casing so that I don't have to bring out the bulky spectacle case.
Ok, pretty nice lah
But I won't say the same when the shades are clipped on 😅

Instead of the traditional method of coating with batter (cos I don't have a good recipe of good batter) & deep fry (lazy), I use the puff pastry instead.

Cut the puff pastry, roll the nian gao in it & into the airfryer at 180* for 10 mins
and there it goes!
I also tried using popian skin.

But boom ... overflow cos the popiah skin a bit too small 😅
