Love the salted egg dish here cos they use the whole egg, you can taste chunks of salted egg whitesSame Salted Egg dish, but this is chickenKogu forgotten about yusheng when he placed order & only remembered about it when we finished eating everything! Then he quickly went to order one! This year because of the salmon issues, all txe char stalls have replaced salmon sashimi with concubine abalone (abalone flavored squid)Here we go... ...Huat arh! May everyone "Huat" all the way in the Year of Monkey

The Cold Pantry & Founder's BKT

I have been craving for good waffle and when Sam suggested going to The Cold Pantry, I agreed without even considering!

Both Sam & myself ordered a bottle of Thai Milk Tea while waiting for AngelineThe menu has only a few items but good enough for a small dessert place.Angeline ordered Chocolate Indulgence for the kids since chocolate is something that will not go wrong with kidsSee what I mean? =)Sam's choice - Chocolate Root Beer (Root Beer flavored waffle with Vanilla Charcoal Ice Cream). Oh my.. waffle is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Best of all, the waffle really has root beer flavor!I had Pink Velvet (Rose infused waffle with Lychee Ice Cream). But why is is black? Yes.. cos the charcoal ice cream is lychee flavored. Pink waffle also has this very nice rose flavor!Not only it's Instagram-able, it also taste good. The only downside is, the waffle is a little small.. hahaThen we walked down a few units to Founder Bak Kut Teh for dinnerBraised Egg, blandBraised Small Intestine, sauce is bland & has a weird smell. Salted Vegetables, sweet instead of saltyStir fried Dou Miao - probably the best dish of the day. Honestly, what can go wrong with this dish right? Mix organ soup is bad. Intestines & liver are tough, kidney has urine smallBak Kut Teh, no comments from Angeline thouSmall Intestine soup, I reckon it's bad cos Sam did not even finish half of itAnother dish that can't goes wrong. Plain mee suah. 

Seriously, this is one of the worst Bak Kut Teh I've had! I don't remember the branch at Balestier is that bad lor.. So I'm very sure I won't be going back again!

Reunion Dinner 2016

Oh yeah, CNY is round the corner & as per previous years, we will be having our reunion dinner at least a week ahead cos sis has to be home for dinner with her in-laws. 

This year we had it almost 2 weeks in advance cos mum has to work all the way till CNY eve after today. Also, she suggested having it at her place cos she just officially moved it last year.

This is also Dalton's first reunion dinner!Mum prepared "Mookata" for the dinnerAnd cos she is staying at the 2-room flat for seniors, space is a little constrain & so she has to shift some furniture into the room Not much space around, so we have to make do with whatever available spaceThe bigger boys in the room, dunno what they're laughing at Tried to do a couple of selfie but sort of failAnd when I finally managed to snap a slightly proper picture, the youngest boy is bored already
Ok, maid not around, so again I'm the part-time maid
