The reason why this blog is created is because is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

JB Day Trip with the Foodie Musketeers

7.30 am and I am at Railway station cos I'm meeting up with Foodie Musketeers for a makan trip in JB today
Sam booked the train tickets via

Wah, hassle free travelling by train shuttle leh! From clearing custom in Woodlands to JB, it's less than 30 mins. Train ride alone, is only 5 mins!
First stop, Restoran Kam Long Fish Head CurryCurry Fish Head. A little heavy for breakfast huh? I find the gravy a little to dilute for curry fish head and cabbage a little uncooked. Other than that, the fish is freshThen we went Restoran Seekee for Ah Hua Kway Teow soupSoup was traditionally boiled using charcoalI added Oysters on top of the ingredients. Kidney in the soup is very well cleaned & doesn't smell. Ingredients are fresh I must sayThen we walked down the street, wanting to go for Chicken Chop but they are not open yet, so we rested our feet at The Replacement Lodge & KitchenAfter a glass of juice to cool us down, we ordered some hot drinks, together with ChurrosFollowed by lunch at IT Roo Cafe, which claims they have the best chicken chop in towmSo we ordered 2 Chicken Chop for sharing. Grilled & Fried. Sorry, but in my humble opinion, this taste like any other chicken chop that can be found in most of our food courtOk lah.. after eating, we continue to walk down the street to buy Banana Cake. Haha, cannot miss the shop one.. ... Cos look at the queue!Hiap Joo BakeryPrice list & operating hoursCakes here are traditionally baked in old-fashioned charcoal fire ovenDoesn't looks convincing huh? But it's really good!
While walking back to City Square, we walked passed this restaurant that sells roasted duck but the girls are still full, so we have to give it a miss
So we went walking around at City SquareAnd rested our feet at Caffe Bene after a couple of hours doing window shoppingLastly, dinner at Dragon-I口水鸡Very cute Piggy buns. These are just lotus paste buns lah =DMock GooseSteam FishSpinach with 3 EggsFried Silver FishBraise Pork with bunsWanton Soup with A Whole ChickenFood was pretty good but I'm still sad I did not get to eat any roasted duck this tripApart from eating & buying of banana cake, this is the only thing I buy from this trip =)Next trip must eat Roasted Duck!
