milkfrost's world

The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

28th SEAGames Opening Ceremony

Hello, Singapore!

I'm sure lots of people out there are super excited as Singappore is hosting the 28th SEA Games this year, after the last hosting 22 years ago. This year, it's especially significant to the republic as it celebrates its 50th year of independence in 2015
Thanks to Theresa, I got hold of 2 tickets to the Opening Ceremony & I got Wendy to join us.
Since I'm slightly early, I went to take some pictures
We only join the queue at aboutt 7.30 pm cos we totally didn't expect that the crowd to be so bad since the gate is open at 5 pm. The crowd is total madness =DThankfully, we managed to get in on time for the opening at 8 pmNational flag flying high while national anthem is being playedThe Singapore Big WelcomeThe athletes' paradeBrunei DarussalamCambodiaIndonesiaLaosMalaysiaMyanmarPhilippinesThailandTmor-LesteVietnamLast but not least, Singapore the hosting countryA wefie inbetween showThe Speech; Declaration of Games Opening; SEA Games Federation Flag & 28th SEA Games Flag Raising & Oath Taking; followed by the showShow Act 1: DNAAct 2: ImaginationAct 3: Youth ExpressionAct 4: Sports and the CityAct 5: Singapore in a StadiumThe bridge of friendshipThe torch relay with the last torch carrier being none other than Fandi Ahmad & joined by his son, Irfan FandiCauldron Lightning Fireworks. I'm glad they kept these 2 dishes even with the new items listed.Dishes we had. They have also added quite a lot of pasta/ pizza on the menuSH & R3 went to buy a slice of cake from Awfully Chocolate for Hazel. SH even bought candles with her name on itWahaha... wrong choice for birthday girl to choose this venue lah. Staffs at Fish & Co made her stand on the chair to sing her birthday cheers & birthday songand made her blow off the candle from where she s standing (roughly an arm's length away)Birthday girl, still a little shy from the surprised birthday act by the staffs, but we're glad she enjoyed the dinner
