Impromptu dinner with Ivy cos I ended work early today.


First time trying Fu Xiao Xian, which is newly opened at Bugis.

Condiments are charged at $2 per person.
The cold appetizers are quite nice. One is the bean curd skin with vegetable like carrot & celery. The other is some kind of pickled vegetables.
We ordered the set for 2 which comes with the main fish, vegetable platter, 2 rice & 2 drinks. We opt for Garlic Sauce with River Fish; not quite sure what fish it is, but it was fresh & no fishy smell.The fish came wrapped in baking sheet, cooked right in front of you for 13 mins. After which, the staff will open it and add in some parsley/ coriander, mix it up & it's ready to be consumed.
Staff will add on some fish soup after u have finished the fish (or even before, as per customer's preference), and u'll be able to add in items from the vegetable platter that comes in the set. You may also add on other items from the menu.
Dessert from the condiment counter. Pretty good & we'll be back again, soon!
Ivy also treated me to a double scoop of gelato from Butter Studio after dinner. Thanks, Ivy!

And they're using customized induction cooker instead of the gas type of cooker. They will be gradually changing to this cooker for all outlets.
Since 3 of us, might as well order a tower of soda instead of by glass.

Becos she is also craving for oysters; we opt for the premium buffet.

Oysters for premium, Pretty good but not very cold.
Sashimi was quite a disappointment as it was not even chilled when being served. Somewhat at room temperature.
Foie Gras, Lobster Biqsue & Grill Prawn are also under premium,

3rd serving of oysters even has a fishy smell!

Charlene decided to give the sashimi a second chance & turns out the sashimi was again served at room temperature.

I bought a Mixed Berry Tart instead of the usual cake
