milkfrost's world

The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

Zebra.C & Blackball Signature

It's our CCSS-ians monthly meet up again. We didn't meet up last month due to clashes in our work schedules.

EmilyG suggested we try out this Zebra C at Bugis+ cos this is the only cafe/restaurant that allows reservations. All of them are already there when I reached & they have all placed their order.

EmilyG's pot of Apple Tea $4.50

EmilyG, EmilyL & Jean ordered Seafood TomYum Udon $16.90
Which includes an Ice Lemon Tea, Crab Roe Salad, Scallop Roll & Lemon Pepper Chicken

Randy ordered Terriyaki Chicken Stone Pot Rice $15.90
Which includes an Ice Lemon Tea, Miso Soup, Soft-Shell crab & Egg Tofu Medallion

I had Sizzling Beef Lettuce Wrap $19.60
Which includes Ice Lemon Tea, Egg Tofu Medallion, Scallop Roll & Garlic Rice, which is tasteless!

This is supposed to be "sizzling" but it ain't sizzling when it's being served. Taste pretty normal.

The beef is supposed to be eaten wrapped in lettuce. I would say this is a very messy dish as the lettuce is quite wet & water drips all over!

Anthony had Prime Ribeye on Hotplate with Fries $17.90
The Ribeye is supposed to be "sizzling' but it ain't sizzling also, and it's very thin

Every ala carte main dish come with a free Haagen Dazs ice-cream

Nothing to rave about Zebra C. Service is also rather slow, probably cos they're down of staff. We reckon the crowd here are spill over from the other cafe/ restaurants from the same level. I doubt I'll be returning thou.

After dinner, we decided to try the "hot" dessert place for now - Blackball Signature

It was very crowded & we manage to secure a table cos a group of 3 girls offered the bigger table to us while the take the smaller table. The queue was long & we waited 8 mins in queue just to place order & another close to 15 mins for our order to be served.

Anthony had Grass Jelly w/Fresh Milk $3.80 while I had Winter Melon Tea $2.80

I also tried the Blackball Signature (Icy) $4.90

The Blackball Signature can be served Cold, Warm, Hot or Icy & it comes with YamQ, Golden Sweet Potato, Grass Jelly, Honey Yam, Pearl & Sweet Potato

Icy is served with shaved ice at the bottom of the toppings

I was pretty excited cos I like Grass Jelly & I love Yam, but my excitement die off the moment I had my very first spoonful of it. All the Yam & Sweet Potato balls, including the Pearls were too chewy & I took quite some time to finish off this bowl of dessert.

I'm not quite sure if I'll be back for more, especially if the wait is gonna be more than 30 mins.

EmilyL & Jean shared 1 Blackball Singature, served warm; while EmilyG & Randy shared 1

The queue was extremely long when we left at about 9.30pm
