李仪饼店 | Taiwan Goodies from Le Bff

Le Bff had an impromptu trip to Taiwan & so I got her to buy for me 凤凰苏 from 李仪饼店 & 阿婆铁蛋 .. 

Specifically asked for 凤凰苏 from 李仪饼店 cos I personally find that they have the best Pineapple Tart in Taiwan & also they're probably the only brand that has Pineapple Tart with Salted Egg YolkThis brand is introduced to my sister by the locals back in the early 90s but surprisingly, they only have one outlet (or rather, a collection point) in Taipei, Taiwan. If you're keen to try, this is the addressI also specifically wanted 阿婆铁蛋 cos they're the only brand that still uses chicken eggs for their 铁蛋 while mostly brands are using quail eggs. But then again, for the chicken eggs 铁蛋, it's really very hard! 😂Le bff also bought Boba Tea Milk Tea & can actually taste like you're drinking bubble tea & eating mochi at the same time!

Thanks Le Bff for taking the trouble to search for the 2 items & lugging them back for me!

 

Taiwan Goodies

Sis's colleague helped to buy this 铁蛋 from Taiwan. So, what is 铁蛋? It's actually egg & braise it to very small!

How small? This is actual size!

It's only the size of the yoke! 

Not sure if they still use 鸡蛋 or replace with 鹌鹑蛋 thou.. but still, it's damn shiok!

Another Taiwan goodie which sis's colleague helped to buy! 凤梨 & 凤凰酥 - Super  this cos got salted egg yoke in it!

台湾’s 太空菜

Found this at the Cold Storage fair at Bugis while waiting for Kogu & Jenny on last Friday! 

In Taiwan, they call this 太空菜 & is only sold in those CNY pasar malam one month before CNY! It's fried fruits & vegetables. Don't know how it's made, but I think they dried the fruits & vegetables before deep frying bah.. 

Personally, I find it damn nice lah.. sis used to buy alot of these during CNY when she's still flying with China Airlines! miss these so much!
