Oh Hi! We're back at Sumire笑 again! Today we're back to celebrate Janice's birthday

As usual, a complimentary portion of Cabbage Shiodara is being served upon seated. This is to be eaten in-between dishes

Upon placing your order, the staff immediately puts the skewers onto the grill.

Aburi Shime Saba is torched on the spot when you place a order for it. I just realized that I didn't try this as I was typing away now!

Salmon & Hamachi sashimi are very fresh & sweet

Avo Mentai Potato Salad is yummy

Daikon Tower is a must-order! Thick radish were stacked up and topped with bonito flakes. Also served with chikuwa and konjac. Superb dish!

Pork Belly with grated radish & ponzu sauce (above) & Pork Belly Shio is not fantastic. It's neither crispy nor "fat"

Spicy Tori Ramen. 

Asparagus Bacon in both soy sauce garlic butter & teriyaki sauce. Personally I perfer the one with teriyaki sauce

King Liver (chicken) in sesame oil & chili padi is very good! Soft liver & the dressing is nice!

Anago Nigiri. This is better than the one at Itcaho!

Tori Karrage - soft & crispy

Tsukimi Tsukune (Men) with raw egg. First time eating chicken meatball with raw egg. The meatball is a little soft for my liking, but it taste pretty good with the raw egg!

Supposed to go for Yoga, but due to rain & jam, I didn't manage to make it on time for the class. Happened to meet bff, Carol at ION. Thus, we to went H&M with her cos she wants to change a pair of sandal for her daughter. We then went Omega to collect my watch before heading to basement for dinner at Ginza Bairin

Carol had Spicy Ramen $15.14

Didn't try the soup before Carol mix the spicy minced meat, but no complains form her, so it should be good. I "tax" a little of the spicy meat & it's very spicy yet nice! 

Unagi Katsu Set $18.22

Unagi although deep fried, it is still very soft it almost melts in the mouth; the sauce is slightly salty. The Sesame dressing also makes the pile of plain thinly sliced cabbages sweet.

They also gave out the Stamp Card so that you can collect stamps & earn some discounts.

hurhurhur.. Again, I bought Gelateria Italia for dessert! Today's choice - Passion fruit & Lychee.

Went feasting with buddy, Evelyn on Wednesday cos I've not seen her for close to 2 weeks. She has craving for Japanese food, so I suggested Genki Sushi since she has not tried it before & the only one time I had was like 10-20ish years ago at Forum Gallery! 

They have this call-queuing system whereby you just need to register & goes shopping till you get a phone call from them! No need to stand & wait in line! 

Soy Sauce, Green Tea Powder & Chilli Power are available on the table

A big container of ginger available also

Wasabi is also available on every table

They uses an integrated iPad ordering system so that you can place your order fast! Selected item that you ordered entitles you to a little lottery too!

The most interesting of all, food items that you ordered are delivered in their Express Train! How cool~

We had a super satisfied meal at Genki Sushi & I would say, it's a lot better than Sakae Sushi in terms of quality! Will definitely be back for more!  

Walked around and bought ice creams from Gelateria Italia Takashimaya despite stuffing ourselves silly at Genki Sushi! Evelyn had Hazelnut while I had After Eight. Nice way to end our mid-week!
