Using the last pair of my monthly disposable contact lens & since le colleague is staying in JB, I got him to help me replenish my supply 😂

The usual, got my supplies  from Ooppa Eyewear from JB City SquareComplimentary 2 pairs with 4 boxes purchased. 
The staff that I usually get my supply from, also gave me 2 boxes of Alcon daily disposable contact lens.

After le colleague helped my lug these across the customs, Midas initiated a JB day trip 😂

Finally collected my Presbyopia Glasses that was being delivered to Midas's place on 31/12/23. 

Went JB on my birthday on 13/12/23 and we went to prescribe presbyopia glasses with progressive lens at Ooppa Optical (City Square Mall) cos yes, it's a relatively cheaper due to the exchange rate.Thus, I got myself 2 pairs!They also throw in an extra casing & the screwdriver & extra nose pad if in any case that there is a need to replace the nose padFirst pair is from (0 to +1.75)Metal frame with Hoya lensReason for (0 to +1.75) power is due to me wearing contact lens due to short sightedness. Cos with contact lens, I can see things that's far but not near. With this, I can see both far & near. Thus, this pair is mainly for work or when I'm reading food menu when I'm outSecond pair of from (-3.75 to +1.75)Plastic frame & Hoya lensReason for (-3.75 to +1.75) is also due to short sightedness. As I don't wear contact lens at home, I can see what's near but can't see what's far! Thus, with this pair, i can see both far & near. No need to keep removing my home glasses to see things that's near & put on when I wanna see anything that's far.

2nd pair of lens is at 50% off (same power), but the guys at Ooppa kindly extend the offer to me even though my 2pair was of different power due to my special case. They're also having a promotion of one-for-one on frames.

I can't really remember the breakdown of the cost, but I paid $504 for 2 pairs of presbyopia glasses with Hoya progressive lens + 4 boxes (15 days/ box) of daily disposable colored lens while I paid S$398 for 1 pair of presbyopia glasses with normal progressive lens in 2022 at Owndays

As Carol also prescribed 2 pairs & got it delivered to Midas's place, I also pick it up for her at the same time.

Milkfrost officially turns 49!🎉

First meal of the day has got to be mee suah w/prawns & mushroom... plus 2 red eggs, homecooked by le sister. She makes sure that everyone at home gets these for their first meal of the day on their birthday. 

*1 more year to enjoy mee suah on my birthday before I shift out*Meet up with le bff & Wendy for quick lunch at Rollie Ollie before meeting Midas at Train CheckpointTrain ride to JBFirst order of business is to settle for lunch at Fifty TreesLychee EspressoButterfly Pea Latte. While it looks pretty, it's not served warm, let alone hot. Top portion of the latte is hot while bottom of it is cold. Thus, not sure if it's being served this way. Oh, it's rather bland too.

As we had lunch before coming, Wendy, le bff & myself shared an Eggs Benedict w/avocado & Smoke Duck Aglio Olio, which were both pretty decent.Fried Chicken Waffle Sandwich was goodLet's dig in!
Cos we shared 2 of the mains, we have some room for dessert. Waffle was good, crispy on the outside & fluffy inside.We decided to pop-by my ex-colleague's place for a quick visit as she's wfh & due to give birth soon in Jan/Feb'24. It has been close to 5 yrs since I last met her after I quit from my previous company. So happy that she's moving on her next phase of life She also bought me a birthday gift!And... ... Hi Max!Wahaha.. trying to tame him a little cos too fierce . or maybe he's just loud 😂Then he gave me this look & wagging his tail .. such a handsome boy 😍Last I met him was in 2015 when he was just a puppy!Next order of business is to visit Ooppa at City Square to get ourselves reading glassesApart from getting 2 pairs of reading glasses, I also need to collect 4 boxes of contact lens which my ex-staff failed to collect back n in Sep Also did some lingerie shopping for CNY and popcorn shopping, but I swear I have no intension of buying popcorns 😂Got 2 cute keychains from Eureka. Supposed to have more but it was while stocks last & these are the 2 left on displayDinner at Canton-I cos most eateries are closed by the time we're done shopping 😅Both roast duck & pork belly noodle was delish! 😋Wefie while waiting for train to head back to SGWahaha... such a big bag on the tiny space!Thanks all for the lunch & company to JB!Enjoying a slice of cake sent over by Zhenni last night. And guess what? The whole brownie was gone already, and I didn't even had a taste of it! 😂Also, thank le bff & Wendy for the Christmas gift
