The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

Choa Chu Kang & Clementi Polyclinic | Trigger Finger

Even after trying out acupuncture, the trigger finger condition still doesn't improve. thus, no choice but to go for consultation at polyclinic.
Grab a quick bite while waiting for my appointment at Choa Chu Kang PolyclinicDoctor recommended to do a steroid injection for a quick relieve but nothing can be done as procedure can only Clementi Polyclinic. However, appointment was only available  in a months' time! Finally seeing the doctor for steroid injection after one month!Needle for the steroid was quite thick & long, thus doctor told me not to look at it. The pain is immediately gone the very moment injection was done.
However, doctor told me to monitor & if the pain comes back in 6 moths, I might want to consider another injection or go for surgery as per finger can only go for steroid injection for only twice.

Sian Chay Medical Institution | Trigger Finger

I have been having this trigger finger issue for a few months already and no amount of medicated plaster and even massage, or tuina doesn't improve the condition.
I decided to give acupuncture a try at Sian Chay Medical Institution
Even though it's open at 9am, I'm already given number 24 when I reach at 9am!Went to Cheers beside Sin Chay to grab a quick breakfast as the staff here told her to get something to eat in case I feel dizzy after the acupunctureWaited close to 2.5hrs just for my turn! Acupuncture in the process. And was given a week's medication. Also a free packet of cereal.Went back again one week later & this time I went at 8.15am to get queue number but still only managed to be given number 15.Again, given a packet of cereal & some chinese medication after acupuncture.
However, this time the physician suggested that if after this dosage of medication and condition still don't improve, I should go for a second opinion at clinic to either get a steroid injection or surgery if I wanted a fast recovery cos my condition was quite bad. Looking at my condition, it'll probably take at least 6 months (provided I don't over-exert) to fully recover.

Work Injury | Fall at Work

Was clearing freezer last night & suddenly boom! The next moment, I found myself siting on the freezer floor!Hurt the area slightly above my hip as well as the right thumb.
As the pain was quite bearable, I decided to only go to the polyclinic for a check the next day.Doctor send me for x-ray to see if there's any serious injuryWaited for almost an hour to get an x-ray & another hour for the report to be out.  As one of the bone at the tailbone was slightly out of place, doctor at polyclinic sent to NTF Hospital A&E to confirm if there's a need for a more detail check.Doctor at A&E says no further check required at this moment as even if there's a crack on that little tailbone, there is nothing can be done to that tiny bone, and it will not affect the spine or causes any movement restrictions.

Sent me home with 3 days of MC & 100pcs of normal painkiller & another type of stronger painkiller. Also told me to monitor the pain & to go back to the hospital if pain persists after 3 days.

Applied the gel on affected area & the pain was gone on the next day. Didn't even took a single piece of painkiller since the pain was still quite bearable.

House of Tuina | Wrist Injury

The wrist has been injured since July'19 and while at work yesterday, I hit again on the same spot & I couldn't move my thumb this morning. No choice, have to frantically find a place to fix it urgently.

While I was waiting for Ma Guang to open after lunch, the shop owner beside it recommended me to House of Tuina which is at the end of the block
As the injury has been there for months already, I reckon it'll take a couple of visits for it to be completely healed.
Due to the wet medication being applied, I am advised to avoid water and so I had to cling wrap it 😅
Back at work, feeling like a handicap
Removing the wet medication 2 days laterAnd replaced with a medicated plasterSubsequent visitationsSubsequent treatments includes hot/cold treatment & medicationWrist guard is also recommended due to my work nature to prevent further injury & speed up recovery.
The recovery took about 1.5months (10 sessions) as it was an old injury, with the bones already inflamed. A little slow but definitely helps as I can now move my wrist freely.
