Synthesis | Lunch w/ Midas

Back at Synthsis for lunch again and this time bringing Midas cos she's quite curious on how is it possible that I've already been here for 4x already since Dec'23 😂

We both ordered Lucid Complexion tea
The usual starters - Pi Dan Tou, Mentaiko Taramasalata Pani Puri & Five Spice Duck Croquettes
We order both the Scallop & Cabbage
Cos Midas doesn't take anything that creamy/ cheesy & beef, we order both the Herbal Chicken Poached Rice & Crispy Skin SalmonMidas had Poached Osmanthus Nashi Pear while I had Green Apple Tarragon Tartlet.

As usual, the food didn't disappoint me (or rather, us) but service wasn't as attentive as compared to all my 4 other visits.

 

Synthesis | Mother's Day Lunch

Back at Synthesis for simple Mother's Day celebration with mum, sis & bil. Glad to know that they've just changed their set lunch menu.

$31++ for a drink, 3 appetizers (sampling size), small plate (+$9.40) & main dish.Appetizers includes Chef’s Signature Charcoal “Pi Dan” TofuMentaiko Taramasalata Pani Puri
Five Spice Duck CroquetteSmall plates (+$9.40), you will need to choose between Signature Confit Cabbage & Pan Seared Hokkaido Scallop. Sis choose the cabbage while 3 of us had the scallop
As for main dish, I had 18-Hours Spiced Braised Beef Cheek ‘Ssam’ (+$8.6), super tender!
Sis & mum had Truffe Carbonara “Suan Pan Zi”
BIL had Nutrient - Rich Sakura Chicken Herbal Poached Rice. The serving size is exactly what is being served for dinner previously!Poached Osmanthus Nashi Pear ($12)House-made Chrysanthemum Ginseng Gui Ling Gao ($12)Purple Sweet Potato Mousse Cake ($10)Staff (Nardine) was so attentive she noticed that it was mum who ordered the cake & put a candle on the cake! 👍Happy Mother's Day

Fourth visit since Dec'23, food & service still doesn't disappoints me 👏 .. definitely gonna be back soon!

Synthesis & HaveFun Karaoke | Lunch & KTV w/MJ Gang

Paul initiate a meet up for meal/ ktv session and cos I'm having a dinner appointment at City Hall area, I suggested Suntec City where we can have lunch & ktv at the same time.

So I'm back at Synthesis for lunch

This time I opt for Blue Plum (mocktail +$6). Slightly sourish yet refreshing.

As usual, the set lunch comes with 3 appetizers eachSince the last time I had steak, I opt for fish today & it sure didn't disappoint.😊
Today's dessert is Osmanthus cakeThe staff also brought us complimentary shots (gin+yuza) cos I made reservations via the returning customer link that was sent to me after my first visit. When I jokingly asked if we can have a refill, he brought us another round of the shots!Thanks Synthesis for the complimentary shots, good food & excellent service. Shot out to Lester who made us feels at home 😊Hopefully the menu will be updated on my next visit cos the staff mentioned that they're in the process of menu revamp.Headed over to HaveFun Karaoke for KTV session.Btw, the monitors in this room (E09) was quite lamely fixed. It was fixed on both side of the walls & so whoever siting on has to position themselves very low else it'll block your view. Another option is to sit sideways to look at the monitor behind you. And weirdly, the HaveFun app doesn't works in this outlet 😐
First time KTV-ing with Paul & surprised that he sings Chinese songs leh 😂 Angela, my long-time ktv partner. She practically knows all the latest songs, so much so that I calls her "judebox" and I used to ktv a lot with her when I was still working in McD's/ Subway 😂
Had a fun ktv session and hope we can do this again soon.
