The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

Imperial Treasure | Louhei w/ Voodoos

Time for the Voodoo's yearly CNY gathering. This year Ivy picked Imperial Nan Bei cos she wanted pencai.
Surprisingly, we were assigned to a roomUnfortunately, pencai is not available cos it needs to be reserved 2 days before hand and so we stick to the CNY menuIt was supposed to be Shark's Fin soup but we requested to change it to Fish Maw soup cos Angela doesn't take Shark's FinRoasted DuckPrawnsSteam fishBecause Leon is on last min night duty and has to leave early, we had to take a group picture first while still waiting for other dishes to be servedPig trotter with sea cucumberGlutinous riceSome wefies while waiting for dessertsApart from the good food, we had a great time catching-up on what's happening & what's everyone been busy with. Next major meet-up should be in Jun, at Cass & WW's wedding.

大年初九●Voodoos @ Imperial Treasure

Voodoos CNY meet-up @ Imperial Treasure Nan Bei

Spinach w/3 types of egg

Vegetarian Mapo Tofu to cater for the vegetarian among us

Shredded Pig Stomach, Sze Chuan style

Red Bean paste pancake

Nai Bai w/assorted muchroom, also to cater to the vegetarian among us

Crispy Prawn in Honey Lemon Sauce

Crispy Silver Fish

Peking Duck! No picture of the duck cos the waitress slice it at the side for us

We used the meat from the Peking Duck to stir-fry with Eefu noodle. Most places used up all the duck meat, but here, they leave both the drum for us to enjoy =)

Yusheng. First time I had Yusheng last during CNY! Why? cos we're supposed to meet at 6p but half of the people attending were late!

The aftermath of a "serious" louhei!

Group Picture is a must, with 4 new friends this time. Eh Ivy, why you close you eyes?

One more group picture..
Then we went KTV @ KBox since the night is still young after dinner

Pictures.... since 2 of the new friends are hogging the mic.. hahaha

One of our new friend sang this! @_@ OMG.. so old-school can?! hahaha

Imperial Treasure Nan Bei Restaurant

Finally the long-awaited department dinner!

We have been talking about the department dinner for the past 2 months and finally it happened! For the first time, the venue is in a Chinese restaurant - Imperial Treasure Nan Bei Restaurant cos there is no Muslim team-mate now, so we don't have to specifically pick a Halal restaurant!

After placing order, I made up an excuse to go hunt for cake cos we have another Birthday in the house!

Since we're having dinner, I bought a Mini Brownie Chocolate Addiction $2.5 from Emicake for her and it so happened that it's her favorite cake! phew~

Birthday girl

Prawn Paste Chicken Wing $7 is crispy on the outside but somehow it doesn't really have the prawn paste taste. But why only 2pc on the plate? Cos when I came back from buying the cake, they have already distributed the chicken evenly.

Squid with Salted Egg Yolk $16 is coated with thick layer of salted egg & the squid is nicely cooked

Seasoned Bean w/Minced Pork $10 taste pretty normal

Peking Duck $55

Skin is super crispy & not oily. The wrap is also served warmed & it's very soft. However, the serving of the vegetable is slightly little

Steam Groupa w/Ham $28 - Apart from the fresh fish, nothing to rave about for this dish

BBQ Combo $18
We ordered BBQ Combo of Chicken, Roast Pork & Char Siew, but they ran out of Char Siew! Nothing to rave about on the chicken, but the Roast Pork skin is very crispy. It is also very tender & the ration between fat & lean meat meat is just nice

Beancurd w/Seafood $20
Again, nothing to rave about apart from the fresh seafood

We choose to top-up $10 for Ee-fu Noodle w/sliced Duck Meat from the Peking Duck. Noodle is somehow a little salty

The portion is quite small, so we polished the dishes in no time and we decided to order desserts

Almond Longan $4

Mango Sago Pomelo $5

Glutinous Ball w/Black Sesame Ball $4

I didn't try all the desserts above which are ordered by colleagues, but there'e o complains from them

Souffle Egg Ball $4.80

This is served hot, with red bean paste inside the super soft ball! Nice

Red Bean Pancake $8 with generous serving of red bean paste

Chocolate Peppermint Ice Blend

After dinner, we decide to go for coffee at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf @ Causeway Point since it's the interchange for us to head home (colleague stays at JB, Bukit Panjang & Teck Whye)! Had some crazy gossip over coffee before we head home!
