Crispy Chicken Rendang. Apart from the rice that is a little lumpy, the chicken is tender with crispy skin!

Birds of a Feather | Karen's Birthday

Wanted to try  the food at Bird's of a Feather during my birthday last year but friend couldn't take spicy food, so I shelve the thought.

Finally managed to try it with the team cos Karen's brithday is round the corner & the team loves spicy foodMet Ben who just joined recently

We ordered some small plates for sharing

Crispy Pork Trotter in a BagCrispy Gyoza with Truffle Soy Sauce. This is so good we ordered a second servingFortune Skewer in Sichuan Pepper Broth. For those who like mala pot, you will like the broth. It is a clearer & non-oily mala potFind the Chicken in the Chillies. While all of them ordered coffee, I had Bespoke cocktailI asked what's in there, the staff couldn't really answer cos Bespoke cocktail is crafted base of customer's taste & it changes weekly. Anyway, mine was crafted base on request of refreshing with a hint of sour. NiceAmy had Spicy Oriental Bolognaise. Supposed to be spicy but she says she couldn't taste the spiciness and she wasn't impressed.Joan's Xiang Su Duck was pretty goodFrances's Japanese Madai. Although the fish is fresh, there isn't much wow factor as the sauce is quite a common tasteHot & Sour ChazukeHalf the soup was poured into the rice. Karen & Siew Hoon enjoyed this dish pretty muchI had Bird's Signature Burger. Hmm... I requested for no cheese but ... ... didn't want to wait for them to re-do a new one, I make do with what's being served. Foie gras & the patty was perfectly done!

While the main dish didn't really excite us, the small plates was good. It was a nice venue for drinks and service was great!
