A Visit To Jewel

Another visit to the Jewel since I have nothing to do.. haha

Trying out my Samsung Gear 360 CameraWent Starbucks & the staff who took my order says I have an unique name. Really meh? I find it rather common leh ... so we had a short conversation and concluded that my name is not unique, but old fashion. I can't blame her cos she belongs to The Millenniums & most of them have very atas & profound names. Some so profound I don't even know how to pronounce! HahaSee... from the screenshot found, it shows that the name is not being used probably after year 2000!I also went to check out Pokemon Center adn omg.. the plushies all so cute I cannot, I got out of the center within 10 mins.. hahaLimited Edition, exclusive in Singapore onlyWow, Pazzion also have cafe. One day I will go check it outA&W queue is still going strong!Went back to the waterfall, took this shot & thought to myself.. "why not try to get a shot of the sky train passing thru"So I stand at where I am, tried about 8x of burst shot & finally got this pix after standing at the same spot for close to 45 mins! HahaAnd then I try to find a nice Sunflower & it took me awhile to find one cos most of them are withering alreadyOne last picture before I leave.. I will be back again to check out the night show of the rain vortex

Jewel Changi Airport | Public Preview

The whole of Singapore (or maybe, the World?) has been talking about Jewel Changi Airport and the wait is finally coming to an end.

Catherine offered me a ride to the airport after our lunch dateBefore Jewel is officially open it's door to public on 17 Apr 19, she opens her door for preview and I managed to book a slot on ThursdayA&W is the first F&B outlet that we went to check it out but gosh, look at the queue!So we pop-by KFC to say Hi & coincidentally, bumped into Florence from A&W. and she told us the min wait at A&W is 1 hr! Erm.. we decided to move on instead of joining the queue... ... hahaNext stop, Emack & Bolio'sBe warned!This ice cream I'm holding cost $18 (2 Scoops = $15.50 + cone = $2.50)! That tiny scoop is free from opening promotionNext, we pop-by at Pinkfish to say Hi to an ex-Astons staffAfter which, we went on to most exciting part of JewelHSBC Rain Vortex. Very impressive 40 meter indoor waterfall

The queue for Jewel Double Rewards kind of screwed up! 

At one point of time, system stopped calling out numbers. We went to check after waiting for almost 30 mins without any numbers being called & there was a long queue at the counter & only to be told that the system is not working and we have to join the queue. 

WTF?! There wasn't any announcement that the system is down! Staff says they are too busy but come one, there is an emcee with a mic walking around. What is is so difficult for a simple announcement to be made across?

So we went to join in the queue. But guess what? The moment we join the queue, system starts calling out numbers!

When no one ask, the system are not calling out numbers & you claim that the system is down. But the moment someone asked, the system starts calling out numbers. If the system is down, why is the other 4 counters are able to call out numbers by system?  

U kidding me or what?!

Anyway, these are the free gifts lah ... haha

Last stop of the day, Pinkfish again cos le bff promised to support the ex-Astons staff's new working place.

But sadly, burgers are sold out & we have to settle for the wrap. Erm.. kind of pathetic leh. $10.90 for a whole chunk of veggies & one small slice of salmon. Should have went Subway. 

Anyway, I will definitely be back to Jewel again cos we were both running up & down trying to say Hi to people we know and didn't manage to catch the light show at the Rain Vortex. Would also like to check out Shake Shack if there's a chance
