Tanuki Bar

Friday evening was spent feasting with Ivy & Angela. An impromptu dinner at Tanuki Bar cos the last time Ivy didn't get to join us due to work commitment. 

The now have a different promo during Happy Hour. It's 6 Fine de Claire Oysters from France @ $2 each & $3 for 5 slices of Salmon Sashimi with 1 alcoholic drink purchased. This time round, they also impose on a new policy. One table is only allowed to order a limit of 1 dozen oysters per serving. Meaning even if you ordered 3 drinks, you are only allowed to order 1 dozen of oysters. You can only order another 6 oysters after you finished the first 12 oysters. Honestly, I was quite disappointed with the new policy. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed the feasting with other food we ordered.

Chicken of the Sea. Can't remember exactly what's in there, but it's with Salmon & chicken floss on top og the salmon! Pretty interesting.

Trio of Fries, which includes Truffle Fries, Lotus Root Chips & Spam Fries. This has to be my favorite dish so far! Truffle Fries is slightly salty while the LotusRoots Chips is super crispy. Spam fries on the other hand is slightly chewy but delicious! 

1 dozen of Fine de Claire Oysters from France. The oysters are somehow Skinner & saltier compared to the ones they previously offered which are fatter & creamier. Nevertheless, the oysters are as fresh!

Salmon Sashimi - Fresh & sweet. Serving is thick as well.

Ocean Rockefeller - Salmon, Scallop & Hokkigai baked with cheese on Scallop Shell. Not a fan of cheese, so don't really like this

Salmon Avocado - Salmon & Avocado in Mayo, top with Salmon Roe in Avocado shell. Refreshing taste.

We each ordered a Martini -  Lychee, Apple & Cosmopolitan 

A quick snap on some of the food before we start eating. 

Service has also improved since our last visit. This time round, they have more staffs on floor and it's easier to get their attention.

On a side note; they are pretty fast in replying to tweets! I Tweeted on their new policy about oysters during Happy Hour & I actually got a reply from their Twitter account to my tweet within minutes!  =D
