milkfrost's world

The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

Arteastiq @ Mandarin Gallery

Walk around Orchard Road after dinner at Tanuki Bar & ended up at  Arteastiq Tea Lounge @ Mandarin Gallery for some tea & desserts since both the girls have not been here before. A nice & cozy place to relax over a pot/ cup of tea.

The girls enjoying the luxury yet cozy environment, and we each ordered a drink and 2 desserts for sharing.

Chocolate Green Tea Lava Cake with a scoop of Yuzu Premiun Gelato

Surprisingly, this was being served pretty fast, so I recon it's pre-baked & they just warm it up before serving. Anyway, back to the cake; instead of chocolate lava flowing out of the cake, it was green tea lava. Unfortunately, the lava was not as much as I expected. Chocolate cake was not rich enough. Cake was slightly disappointing, but the premium Yuza Gelato saved the day! Refreshing taste with bits of yuzu zest.

The Flying Carpet with 2 scoops of Gelato of your choice - We choose The Mao Shan Wang & Champagne Vanilla.

Chocolate powder & Dried Cranberries were given at the side to spread over the gelato. Prata was crispy, but hard. We were not given any cutlery for this set of dessert, so we used to spoon used for the lava cake to cut the hard prata. Again, this dessert was saved by the fantastic gelatos. While the Vanilla was light on the taste, the Mao Shan Wan was  fantastic. Feels like you're eating durian instead of gelato

Both the girls had Ginger Ginseng Tea after I told then the Ginger Tea is nice. The tea has a strong ginseng tea fragrant which I don't quite like, but both the girls love it.

I had Yuzu Blency cos the weather is too hot for a pot of hot tea. Love the refreshing taste of Yuzu

On a side note:
The whole experience would have been better if we were not seated to a table of 2 girls & a guy who talked & laughed so loudly the entire restaurant can hear their conversation & laughter!
