Going out for a mission & I hope it's possible!
Mission for this morning is to buy Cinnabon for le sister!Don't be mistaken by the short queue outside cafe cos the queue continues at B2! Not so bad cos I only queue for 20 mins to reach the counter & another 10 mins for item to be ready.Bought cinnachips & hot chocolate waiting for 3 boxes of Minibon (classic, chocobon, pecanbon) to be ready. Mission accomplish! Heading back home with these babies. I'm not a fan of Cinnamon, but these Cinnabon babies are delicious! After leaving the cinnabon babies at home, I went for late lunch at Genki Sushi before going ChatuchakChatuchuk Night Market Singapore! If u ask me, I would say it’s a waste of time. Unless u’re preparing to spend hours just siting there doing nothing but eat & drink, which I feel you can also do it at local neighbor bigger scale pasar malamRetails stalls probably takes up abt 30% of the space & not all stalls are taken/ open. Walking space fits 2 pax between 2 rows of stallsFood stalls takes up abt 70% of the event but not 100% Thai food. Popular stalls like stall selling Mooping has w whooping wait of minimum 45-60mins. Even a simple Thai Milktea requires 30mins wait!?! I ended up just getting Mango Sticky Rice 😅
Tables provided were all taken up within 15mins of opening. So if you’re planning to sit, drink & eat for hours, you probably need to go at least an hour before official operating hours to grab a table!
Free shuttle bus is not helping.. 24-seater and frequency of pick up from Botanic Garden/ Sixth Ave MRT station ss ONE hour apart! Can’t even accommodate all passengers waiting at Botanic Garden MRT, not to mention Sixth Ave MRT cos the bus doesn’t stop!
Frequency to get out of The Grandstand is the same 24-seater with frequency of 30mins. So it’s either u brave the wait or walk all the way in from main road if you’re not driving or taking cab/grab!
Seriously, Chatuchak.sg should have worked with The Grandstand to arrange for either a bigger transport or increase the frequency or even both!
The food thing about it is I was blessed with good weather when I was there.
