milkfrost's world

The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

Volunteering with A Packet of Rice

Hello Sunday!

Amy reached out in our family group chat for donation & volunteer to distribute food items & lunch to the needy residents of Jalan Bukit Merah. This is a bi-monthly volunteering project by A Packet of Rice.

In case you're not aware,
A Packet of Rice (APOR) is a self-initiated project by a group of Singaporeans with the aim of distributing meals and food to needy senior citizens in Jalan Bukit Merah. APOR branched to organizing activities for the residents and sprucing up their houses.

As a self-initiated project, they do need regular volunteers & donations to keep this project going.

If you're keen to either do a donation or volunteer with A Packet of Rice, do get in touch with them at: apacketofrice@gmail.com

One of the needy resident even gave us drinks cos she says the weather is hot

It didn't take up too much of our time. The entire exercise takes only about 2 hours in total.   Fooling round while waiting for the rest from other blocks to be done to take a group pictureOur family + IvyThe group of volunteers for today, the 135th DistributionThen we went Fong Yong Tao Foo for lunch =)And while on the way home, a Taro Soy Latter from Liho to reward myself =)
