Met up with Jaslyn twice in a week. Mid-week, we went Nando's at LOT1 cos there's no queue at 6.30pm, which is quite unusual. Most of the time it's already packed!
Few types of sauces are available if you find your choice spicy enough!
erm.. can't remember what are the drinks we ordered =D
We shared a portion of Chicken Livers And Portuguese Roll. Not sure how well Jaslyn can take the spiciness level, we choose this to be in Mild spicy.
Chicken Liver is very tender. Peri-Peri sauce (Mild) is a little sour rather than spicy, but it taste pretty good. Portuguese Roll is super soft & it goes well when dipped into the Peri-Peri sauce
Both of us had the 1/2 Chicken with 2 regular sides/ 1 fino side
I had mine with corn on crop & wedges with Extra Hot sauce!
Chicken is very tender but the extra hot sauce is still not very spicy for me as the sauce is only spread on the outer of the chicken. Chicken meat on it's own is not spicy =D
Jaslyn had it with garlic bread & wedges with Hot sauce
Apart from the sauces on the chicken, we also tried the garlic peri-peri & wild herd peri-peri for the wedges. Garlic one is a tad too salty for my liking, so I prefer the wild herd which a tad sour & spicy
Honestly, I was expecting half a corn, but it turned out to be a full sized corn, so gotta slowly get the corn out with fork & knife =D
tada~~ success! but sadly, the corn is a little bland
Staffs here are pretty attentive & friendly, so we won't mind coming back again
=======================================================================
Towards the end of the week, we met up again & decided on Ichiban Sushi.
I had the Salmon Mentai Set
While Jaslyn had the Seafood Set
Cereal Tori Karrage
While the food taste pretty much a norm, the service has rooms for improvement. My order of coke actually took close to 15 mins to be served.
To make the dining experience worst, the family of 3 seated behind us seems engaged in a heated argument. The mum was raising her voice (or rather, screaming her lungs out) in Japanese while the 2 kids are also raising their voice at her in English. The mum was also banging the table at times. The "drama" lasted for a while of 35 mins! OMG... this was the very first time we both gobble down our food & left almost immediately as soon as we finish our food. I wonder why none of the staff told them to lower their volume! Hopefully the next time we dine there, we won't meet the family again!
