Hitched a ride from colleague back to Jurong & then I took a bus to Bukit Panjang. Not sure what to have for dinner, I decided to try it out at Osaka Ohsho, which is a new addition at Bukit Panjang replacing Long John Silver
Established in 1969 as a gyoza specialist, Osaka Ohsho soon garnered a steady following of Japanese diners who grew to love its casual ambience and irresistible dumplings. The menu then evolved to include Japanese-Chinese favourites and today, there are over 300 outlets in Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Korea and now Singapore. Osaka Ohsho – which translates to ‘The King of Gyoza in Osaka’ – is the destination for handmade gyoza (dumplings)
I was there at about 7pm. Not queue yet, but the restaurant is almost full.
The menu & order chit
Simple table setting
I order the Peach Juice $4.90 which is quite tasty & it has quite a bit of chunky peach in there. Will be good if they serve it with bigger straws or with a dessert spoon
For my main, I ordered the Ramen + Gyoza Set $11.90
Not much of ingredients, only 2 slices of pork & half an egg, but Ramen is springy & the broth is sweet.
