milkfrost's world

The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

The Arrowhead

Some of you might wonder what is "qi gu".. its The jade-green arrow-shaped leaves. It is an auspicious sign in Chinese Culture as it signifies continuous improvement. Sis planted some before CNY & it was only this big on 1st day of CNY

now, it's fully grown with huge leaves!

last night our maid suddenly come to me & asked "yi yi, u want to take picture? becos sir ask me throw away this plant".. now she knows i'll take pix of almost everything.. haha

anyway, she's gonna throw this away soon.. not sure if she'll plug out the corms to slice it & fry cos my sis says the consumable part of the corm is alot nicer than potato chips!

hmmmmmm.....

anyway, for reasons why some chinese plant this during CNY, read this article..
