Met up with Anthony & his wife for Durian Fest 2015 at Bugis Street. It was stated $20 for durian buffet with t&c but... ... t&c wasn't stated on the pamphlet. Thus, we decided to take a look

There was a "stall" right at the beginning of the event and it's $20 for take away. A big plastic bag is provided to you and you can take whatever quantity you want, as long as it fits into the plastic bag. However, you have to choose the durians on your own & seller will not help u to open
Ah.. the place where you choose the durians for the eat-in durian buffet
But no.... that's not the start of queue
This is the start of queue for the durian buffet. The $20 buffet doesn't includes Mao Shan Wang & other premium durians. For premium durians, it's $45!
The queue went all the way to the end of Bugis Street & even longer. Thus, we decided to not join the queue and go somewhere else for durians
Anthony's friend recommended Sindy Durian at Whampoa
We were lucky enough to be last in the queue cos those who came after us are stopped from queuing as there are no more durians. Whatever durians here are mostly reserved.
We queued for close to an hour just to get hold of 4 durians. The queue took quite a while cos the owner "QC" each & every durian before letting u decide if you wanna buy. Those of lower quality will be put aside & return back to supplier.
Very good quality
Wahaha... even the thin side had mini flesh too

The aftermath of it from me alone =)
Durians here are of very good quality and worth the wait. But do note that as quantity is limited, it's best to call & reserve to avoid disappointment. Also, they are not open during off-peak season.

The preview venue was at
There was already a queue formed when we reached 30 mins after the event started
Heehee... in my Melissa Artemis + Jason Wu III for the event
The moment I joined the queue, this pair of sneakers immediately caught me eye!
Chocolates & drinks were served to everyone who came for the event
After trying on the display piece of Love System Now (pink/white), I requested to try a new pair. But ... .... the only new pair left for my size is Grey/Red. Staff asked if I would like to reserve a pair of Pink/White & wait for staff to call me they officially launch the design, but.... ....I can't wait! I want a pair of it right away, so... .... I asked if I can buy the display pair
So... ... I bought the last pair of Love System Now (pink/white)! =D
Jaslyn also took the last pair of Space Love of her size! Actually I very much wanted to buy this design too, but refrained myself, which I sort of regretted now =D
The purchase also comes with a Melissa keyring (random design was given)
So yeah... ... I'm a happy Melissa VIP =)

Then we walked over to Bugis+ for dinner at
We ordered Signature Combo (For 2) which include a choice of appetizer, signature dish & dessert
Side dishes are free flow
We choose Army's Signature Stew with Assorted Meat, but requested for no beef cos Jaslyn doesn't takes beef. Kimchi soup base is pretty good
Initially wanted Braised Pork Belly but we changed to Kimchi Pancake as I feel there might be too much meat.
Dessert choice is Special Trio Bingsoo. Filled with kiwi, strawberry & mango on top of shaved ice & yogurt based ice cream topped with mango sauce.

Both myself & Prakash are early & hungry, we went to have a munch at McDonald's first
Reached Beach Road Food Centre before the rest of them, I went to check out if
Again, the Baguette Tart is sold out by the time I reach, so I bought 2 packets of Baguette Toast (1 butter & 1 garlic)
Then I went back again to buy 4 more packets (2 butter, 1 dark chocolate, 1 white chocolate). These mini baguette toast are very crunchy & addictive. I love the butter one most
I also bought Cheese Lava Baguette & Chocolate Lava Baguette. I didn't try the cheese one but the nephews says it's awesome. The Chocolate Lava Baguette is very yummy & chocolate lava flows all over the place! Super yummy!
Dinner was hawker food. Fried Kway Teow, a little burnt
Carrot cake is good.
Fried Hokkien Mee is good
Satay under-cooked, so we send it back to the stall to re-cook
After dinner, we head over to
Mango Sticky Rice, Red Ruby, Tapioca with Coconut Sauce, Assorted Thai Desserts.
