The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

Milkfrost Shops | 50 Years of RMHC

RMHC (Ronald McDonald House Charities) Global 50th Anniversary

Thus, McDonalds is selling this Ronald & Grimace Mismatched fun socks at $10/pair. All nett proceeds will go to RHMC in support of families with seriously ill children. I remembered them having Ronald & Hamburglar last year but I didn't manage to get it.

I was thinking to get 2 pairs so that I can wear it as a matched pair but looking at the printing, it won't work even if I have 2 pairs

Haha .. ok lah, quite cute also.

Wear your Stripes to show you Care | Donate to #RMHCSG

{Media invite}
Have you heard of Ronald McDonald House Charities?

*picture grabbed from RMHCSG

I'm sure those who grew up hanging around in McDonald's or those who brought your kids on a weekly basis to McDonald's would have known. For the benefits for those who have not heard of them;

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is an independent non-profit organization whose mission is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. From early on, the organization had deep support from Ray Kroc's empire Gerald Newman, Chief Accounting Officer for McDonald's Corporation, was one of the founders of Ronald McDonald Children's Charities and was president of R.M.H.C.

RMHC has a global network of Chapters in 52 countries under three core programs, Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile

Since January 2013, RMHC Singapore has been operating a Ronald McDonald House inside National University Hospital (NUH). Their “home away from home” concept provides families with a place to rest and stay close to their hospitalized child at zero cost.

Together with omy.sg & other bloggers, we were treated a cozy meal at McDonald's Suntec City

Apart from having Executive Director of RMHC Singapore, Judy Chin explaining to us on their daily operations & how the organization works, Joyce (above) who is one of the beneficiary of RMHC also shared her experience throughout her stay in RMHC

In celebration of RMHC’s 40th Anniversary, McDonald’s Singapore has planned a number of activities, and is calling for the community to join them in the following ways:

1. Make a Donation and Show Your Stripes

From 15 October to 28 October, you can make a donation to the charity by purchasing a pair of red and white striped socks via Groupon. Members of the public can choose to purchase this at $10, $20 or $50

In appreciation of each purchase, McDonald’s has included a free Strawberry Sundae treat that can be redeemed at any McDonald’s restaurant in Singapore

2. Share Your Stripes and raise awareness through #forRMHC and #RMHCSG

Help the charity spread the word by dressing in red and white stripes, donning on the socks, or creating your own red-and-white themed images. Share these images along with your well wishes for these families on Instagram with #forRMHC and #RMHCSG

3. Join RMHC on 16 November for McHappy Day 2014

RMHC’s 40th anniversary celebrations will culminate on McDonald’s annual McHappy Day, on 16 November 2014

McHappy Day will see some 600 volunteers participating in the McHappy Day Walk and Sale across Singapore, selling the signature red and white striped socks. Volunteers comprise corporate staff and restaurant crew from McDonald’s Singapore and other friends of RMHC Singapore.

Families with young children are also welcomed to join in the fun at the #forRMHC Party at Tampines Mall from 1.00pm to 5.00pm. Members of the public can join in on the fun and participate at the various booths that offer balloon sculpting, face painting for children, games and more. Ronald will also make an appearance for photo taking with the children

Apart from the above mentioned activities, you can also donate your small change to RMHC Singapore through the RMHC DONATION BOXES at McDonald’s restaurants across Singapore.

Find out what other ways you can help RMHC on their website here

Just in case you're still not aware of it, with every purchase of McDonald's Happy Meal, 5cts from the sale is donated to RMHC!

So the next time when you're at McDonald's with your kids, please do not hesitate to buy them a Happy Meal cos while your kids gets to enjoy the meal & a toy, you're also doing charity at the same time! =)

What are you waiting for?

Grab your stripes now & spread the Love!

Zombie invaded Orchard Cineleisure!

Oh no ~~ Zombie has invaded Orchard Cineleisure!

Wait! Are you kidding me?

Nah... ... it's just mascots from the game - Plants Vs Zombie 2

Not only they're there promoting the game, they're also doing their part for Charity. The pop-up truck acts as a on-the-go-kitchen for preparing snacks. With a small donation, you can choose to have either Tofu Taco, Fish Taco or Fries with Zombie Dust! All proceeds goes to Club Rainbow Singapore

The cute Sunflower Plant that gives out energy for you to earn points & but more plants to defend your home against the Zombies

One of the many Zombies - Conehead =D

I was actually expecting to get the plush, but in order to get the plush, you gotta install the game on the spot. I've already installed the game few days back, so I didn't manage to get the plush which is more like a bag charm.

Since I'm already there, I went to make a donation of $10. Don't be mistaken arh, I'm not so bad to take 4 cups of fries with my $10 lah (dangz.. I see people donating $0.50!)... These are taken from 4 different angles.

Those of you who have not installed this game, try installing it (Free from App Store/ Play Store) & have some fun cracking your brain juice on how to defend the Zombies from getting into your house & eating up your brain. =D
