The brand new virtual world of Milkfrost - formally (milkfrost.multiply.com)

The reason why this blog is created is because Multiply.com is shutting down & all posts will be removed. Some posts here are back-dated from Aug 2004 - Aug 2012! I'm just doing a screen-shot & re-posting slowly cos it ain't easy to import every single photo. Therefore, only thumbnails are available for viewing, which also explains the white background & the little note at the end.

Complimentary Moon cakes!

Last year I bought Moon cakes for own consumption & end up having too much! Lucky this year I refrain from buying any cos BIL's brother gave 1 box from don't know where & sis brought home another 3 boxes!

中秋节快乐

It' 中秋节 today & it's a rare Sunday that I've got NO activities, so decided to sleep in till late!

Woke up about 10.45am to the sight of Weezer siting quietly beside my bed!

Sis cooked lunch: Bak Kut Teh; Steam Chicken (bought frm market); Tofy w/Mushroom;
Spinach; Vegetarian Luncheon Meat & Fried Eggs

Damien is so hungry that's he not waiting for anyone! haha

Since it's 中秋节, moon cake & pomelo is a must-have on the alter. Did you spot anything unusual?

This looks unusual right? The 2 brown thingy is mini yam & the black one is actually "Bat Nuts", the chinese call it 菱角, which is only available on 中秋节

Closer look of 菱角

Than myself, Daryl & Damien started fooling around with the 菱角.. lol

Maid fried Mee Suah for dinner

Myself & sis fooling around with Frostie while waiting for Daryl's 二叔

The old-school lantern =)

Myself, sis, the boys & their cousins than lighted our lanterns & marched to the playground for some fun!

at the Playground!

and so that's me, wishing everyone 中秋节快乐  =)

CCSS-ians goes Buffet Town

When the CCSS-ians meet!
*for the benefit to those who might not know, CCSS-ians refers to my school mates from Chai Chee Secondary School =)

We have not meet up for 2-3 months cos everyone is busy with their own stuff & we finally met last night! Emily suggested dinner at Buffet Town since we didn't manage to secure a booking months back.

I would say, for the price of $39.80++ on a Friday night, it's quite a steal cos you get unlimited supply of Fresh Oysters. Unlike Todai, where you can only pick up 2 at a time. Plus there's a wide varitey of food. But well, I think for around that price, I still prefer Kushin Bo!

Buffet Town @ Basement of Raffles City

My first 4 helpings; Scallops, Prawns, Oysters, Sashimi, Crayfish & some Nonya dishes

Next 4 helpings: Chili Crab, local delights, more Sashimi & Oysters!

few more Kueh Paiti, a bowl of duck w/mustard green soup follow by desserts

That's Jean (my classmate) & Emily's teenage son

myself & Emily Goh, 1 year our junior in School

After dinner, we went McDonald's to meet up with Emily Loo as she couldn't join us for dinner cos she has a trial Hot Yoga class at Vivo, and then meet up with Anthony before cheong-ing to Marina Bay Sands to check if there is any charging cable/adapter for his iPhone5! *his 1wk old iPhone5 charger gone bonkers & short-circuit both his & Emily Loo's additional power bank!

Couldn't get cable for iPhone5, so we went Toast Box for kopi & roti while he finally had his dinner at 12am!

I had the Hebi Hiam toast set w/2 eggs!

**I hope Anthony manage to get a charging cable from M1 today cos I ask him to go demand one since he bought the phone there & they don't have any additional charging cable available for sale

2012 Formula 1 - Final Race Night

Met up with Evelyn after Vivian's Birthday Lunch cos we're go to ... ... ... ...
Formula 1 Race Night!

Went to Dean & Deluca for dinner cos there seems to be lots of hype about this place

OMG, look at the shelfings! lots of pretty ingredients available. I think I can easily spend $200 here!

Nice pastries/ breads being displayed!

Evelyn ordered a cuppa of hot tea & the tea bag damn cute lah.. got a little tea leaf attached to it

Evelyn, my buddy for food!

Can't remember what she ordered..

My choice of dinner - American Country Breakfast! How blessed it is to be able to have breakfast at 6pm! what else can I ask for? I'm a sucker for anything with eggs, bacon & sausage, so I'm super thrilled that they have an all-day breakfast menu available!

The tickets Evelyn managed to get (FREE) - Premier Walkabout. Which means we can actually walk around the entire circuit!

Since we can walk around the entire circuit, we decided to enter by Gate 3 which is at Cityhall

Eve checking out the map & see where should we go!

This seems like a "must-have" photo cos everyone's queuing for it! haha

Next, we walk over to the Padang cos that's where the concert will be after the race

Cute baby we saw!

This girl actually pose for me when she see me trying to snap a pix of her

Bought dark chocolate ice-cream from Cold Stone Creamery cos it's so hot walking around!

We stopped outside Esplanade & all I see are cars zooming pass & the loud noise! The moved so fast you can't even see the car clearly, let alone the driver!

Since our tickets are "walkabout", we do not have the luxury to sit down cos all the available viewing platforms are already full. So we decided to move back to Padang & wait for the concert to start. Anyway, we can also watch the race from the huge screen

The winner!

Snap this while waiting for concert to start

Look at the crowd! Can you guess who is the performing artist?

Light's off!

and the concert begins! Yes, it's Katy Perry!

Concert started at about 10.30pm & ended at about 12am!

I'm not a fan, but I must say "Katy Perry" rocks lah!

After the concert, we were directed to Raffles Place MRT from Cityhall MRT cos it's too congested. We were allowed to walk on the race track so that we can reach MRT station faster. OMG, so many crazy people lying on the road taking picture!

Honestly, I'm not really into the race, but since it's FOC tickets, why not right?

The overall experience is quite fun actually!
