Lunch @ Paradise Inn

Lunch with the Voodoos after the morning walk. 

We actually wanted to dine at Peach Garden but the lady that took Angela's call did not take down her reservation & when we reach, we were put on waiting list. Although 2nd in the list for big group, there were more than 5 smaller groups. WTH!

Thus, we went over to Paradise Inn. It was not very crowded & we were ushered to a table the moment we step in.

Very hungry, so order was being placed within minutes & the food was also served fast! We ordered the set menu for 9 pax & add on few more items

Fried Fish Skin is super crispy & doesn't has the fishy smell. Dip it in the sambal belacan for extra umph!

Hotplate Tofu with mince pork & cai po .. as requested by Cass

Few of us also ordered Kong Bak Bao! Soft bun, tender fatty pork.. what else can you ask for?

Soup of the day - very refreshing cabbage soup

Fried Rice with seafood & roe. Very fresh seafood & the roe gives an extra crunch to the rice

Stir fried kai lan with good wok-hei

Chicken in claypot, nothing to shout at

 Smoked Duck

Yam ring with fruits. Yam is soft & pairs very well with the fruits. Not too sweet. Nice

Lemon Grass jelly is very refreshing.

The meal comes with Roselle tea but we were so thirsty we order 1 more drink for our own & still ask for ice water, thus end up having so many glasses on the table for 9 pax

大年初八●CCSS-ians @ Paradise Inn

The CCSS-ians CNY meet-up

We were supposed to have dinner at Paradise Inn, Suntec City but since I was an hour earlier, I went to fix my cravings for waffle at Geláre

The menu here is quite intense with lots of selections! 

I ordered the Chocolate Chip Super Treat which comes with 2 scopes of ice cream (my choice: Cookies & Cream + Macadamia Nuts). Super yummy lah.. waffle is freshly made, light & fluffy!

Emily who's early met me at Geláre also. She had the Ham & Cheese Waffle-wich

After our pre-dinner dessert, we head over to Paradise Inn to meet the rest

Lunch @ Paradise Inn

Just came back from lunch at Paradise Inn @ City Square Mall with My Manager, Distribution Manager & Distribution's new Supervisor, newly promoted Customer Service Senior Executive, as well as KFC/PH's Logistics Manager (customer). This is sort of like an introduction of new mender to the customer as well as a monthly lunch meeting.

Restaurant & table setting

Braised peanuts is served upon seated. The peanuts here are braised till soft

Stewed Pork Belly is nice. Both the bun & pork belly is very soft

Bamboo Fungus w/Dried Conopy - honestly, I could not see any conopy but the soup is sweet

Fried Crystal Prawns with Salted Egg Yoke - Prawn coated heavily with salted egg yoke. Nice 

Ma Po Tofu - Nothing fantastic to rave about

Stir-fry Kailan - Kailan too big piece, making it difficult to eat

Chicken w/Spices in Claypot - Chicken is soft & slightly spicy

Thai-styled Crisp-fried Tofu - Tofu is soft on the inside & crispy on outside, but it has to be eaten together with the Thai chili sauce as it is rather bland on it's own

Thai-styled Charbroiled Pork - Doesn't looks impressive but it is tender & sweet

Coffee Pork Ribs - I don't quite like this cos the coffee taste is too strong

Crispy Supreme Seafood Fried Rice - This has to be one of the better item of all due to the roe in the rice. We feel it should be served first rather than last

Vermicelli w/Pig Trotter - Again, it doesn't looks impressive but it is nice.

Mango sago - slightly too watery & the pomelo is very bitter

Service here is pretty prompt but the wait in-between dishes are quite slow, and ice-water here are charged at $0.30 which they did not inform you when you request for it. After we left, we also realized that we were charged for Grouper in Black Bean Sauce, but it was not being served to us!
