PoTeaTo - CS Department Dinner

CS Department dinner! The last we had, it was with the supposedly "New Manager" but he barely survived 3 months. This time, we decide to have it before the new one comes in a couple of days =D

I am being arrow to pick a place but I refuse to do so cos if I pick East area, those staying in the West will say it's too far. If I pick West area, then it's not fair for the 2 girls staying in the East. Town area also they will complain that it's not convenient. Aiya, troublesome lah.. so I throw the task back to boss. Since no one wants to compromise on an area, boss picked PoTeaTo at Tiong Bahru! hahaha

The cafe is pretty small & probably sit only about 25 pax and it was close to full when we reached at about 6.30pm

Here's the team as of 01 Aug 14. As you can see.. .. apart from boss, Aunty Cat & myself, the rest are all little girls!

Halfway tru we-fie, food came! So... ... munch first =D

Truffle Fries, with generous amount of truffle oils is pretty good

Sweet Potato Fries is sweet & yummy!

Potato Wedges, normal.

Spicy Mid-Wings is supposed to be spicy, but it ain't. Not one of the best wings I had, but quite good & addictive.

It's Friday night & it's department dinner, so... ... yeah.. Reason to drink!

Without much wait.. ... munch on!

Some pictures before the mains arrive

Thai Chicken Burger, served with fries & coleslaw is good. Chicken is very tender & well marinated, topped with sweet Thai chili. However, the bun was not well toasted, thus causing the heel (bottom of bun) to be a little too soggy.

Louisiana Pork Ribs served with wedges & coleslaw. Ribs is sweet & tender. Nice

Bangers & Mash. Combination of Pork, Chicken & Cheese Sausage served with Mashed Potato. Mash is a little disappointing as it's kid of dry

Cabonara, too creamy for my liking

Teriyaki Salmon is good

The girls are quite full from the meal but yet wants dessert. Thus, we ordered an Eggless Chocolate Cake for sharing. Soft, chocolaty & not too sweet

Boss had Green Tea Cheesecake

and... shared with Chloe

May holding on to my monopod, but what's she trying to do? Looks like there's some kind of story here. Can you figure it out? ;p

Food was pretty good in this small yet cozy cafe, but do make reservations before coming. After the dinner, we walked all the way to Tiong Bahru MRT to catch a train home.
