De-stress dinner @ Sumire笑 Yakitori House

Woohoo~ dinner with my evil sisters Angeline, Sam & Theresa! It was super impromptu cos Theresa's feeling stressed with her work & needs to de-stress by having good food and she suggested Sumire  =D

The restaurant is already almost full when we reached about close to 7 pm

Another restaurant that adapts iPad ordering system.

A complimentary dish of Cabbage Shiodare (Cabbage with salt dressing) is being served upon seated. This is supposed to be eaten in between dishes.

Chawan Mushi with bits of mushroom & crab meat is very smooth

Yuzu Salmon Avocado Salad has a very refreshing feel.

Choco Balls (Quail Eggs) is a little salty

Tsukune (Chicken meatball) for *Ladies. We ordered 2 different types - 1 with teriyaki & mayo, 1 with mayo & cheese. I did not try the one with cheese but the other one taste quite good. The only downside is I find it too soft. *Ladies version is smaller & comes in 3 pcs while Men version is slightly bugger & comes in 2 pcs

Sashimi Santen Mori (3 kinds of seafood) - very fresh!

Tamago Oroshi Ponzu is kind of disappointing as it ain't sweet nor fluffy

Goma Tebaage (sesame chicken wings) is crispy on the outside. Good

Kaki Fry. The oyster is very fresh

Daikon Tower is superb! Thick radish were stacked up and topped with bonito flakes. Also served with chikuwa and konjac. This is definitely a must-order dish!

Ebi Mentai Mayo is not one of the best but good enough

Grilled Tori Kawa (chicken skin - salt & teriyaki sauce) is crispy. Good!

Crispy Gyoza w/ Yuzu dip - nothing to rave about

Bakudan Korokke is their signature dish, with an soft-boil egg in a huge potato croquette ball, where the egg yolk oozes out when cut open. Potato chunks are a little bland on it's own thou.

Hotate Mentai Mayo

Yari Ika Teriyaki

Gosh! It definitely looks like we're a little ambitious huh?

Erm.. not that bad lah.. we managed to finish all & still have some stomach space for dessert!

After dinner, we head over to Blackball Bugis+ but we were so disappointed that the signature Taro balls are out of stock & we were 'forced' to replace it with Matcha balls which taste awful. Honestly, they should allow customers to top up cash & replace it with other topping for a win-win situation. By insisting it to be replaced by Matcha balls, the establishment might loose potential customers.
