Imperial Treasure Nan Bei Restaurant

Finally the long-awaited department dinner!

We have been talking about the department dinner for the past 2 months and finally it happened! For the first time, the venue is in a Chinese restaurant - Imperial Treasure Nan Bei Restaurant cos there is no Muslim team-mate now, so we don't have to specifically pick a Halal restaurant!

After placing order, I made up an excuse to go hunt for cake cos we have another Birthday in the house!

Since we're having dinner, I bought a Mini Brownie Chocolate Addiction $2.5 from Emicake for her and it so happened that it's her favorite cake! phew~

Birthday girl

Prawn Paste Chicken Wing $7 is crispy on the outside but somehow it doesn't really have the prawn paste taste. But why only 2pc on the plate? Cos when I came back from buying the cake, they have already distributed the chicken evenly.

Squid with Salted Egg Yolk $16 is coated with thick layer of salted egg & the squid is nicely cooked

Seasoned Bean w/Minced Pork $10 taste pretty normal

Peking Duck $55

Skin is super crispy & not oily. The wrap is also served warmed & it's very soft. However, the serving of the vegetable is slightly little

Steam Groupa w/Ham $28 - Apart from the fresh fish, nothing to rave about for this dish

BBQ Combo $18
We ordered BBQ Combo of Chicken, Roast Pork & Char Siew, but they ran out of Char Siew! Nothing to rave about on the chicken, but the Roast Pork skin is very crispy. It is also very tender & the ration between fat & lean meat meat is just nice

Beancurd w/Seafood $20
Again, nothing to rave about apart from the fresh seafood

We choose to top-up $10 for Ee-fu Noodle w/sliced Duck Meat from the Peking Duck. Noodle is somehow a little salty

The portion is quite small, so we polished the dishes in no time and we decided to order desserts

Almond Longan $4

Mango Sago Pomelo $5

Glutinous Ball w/Black Sesame Ball $4

I didn't try all the desserts above which are ordered by colleagues, but there'e o complains from them

Souffle Egg Ball $4.80

This is served hot, with red bean paste inside the super soft ball! Nice

Red Bean Pancake $8 with generous serving of red bean paste

Chocolate Peppermint Ice Blend

After dinner, we decide to go for coffee at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf @ Causeway Point since it's the interchange for us to head home (colleague stays at JB, Bukit Panjang & Teck Whye)! Had some crazy gossip over coffee before we head home!
