Nadai Fujisoba Ni-hachi | Birthday Celebration with Voodoos

Birthday meet up with the voodoos at Nadai Fujisoba Ni-hachi.
The reason why I picked this venue is cos they have a very interesting hotpotWhile waiting for JJ who is just staying across the streetWhile the staff prepares the main course, appetizer is being served. It was a small platter of cold dishes including soba and salmon sashimi, duck, chashu, namul (bean sprout salad), edamame, Japanese fish cake, and shredded Japanese yam.Main course - Mt Fuji Icy Hotpot! Did I mention Icy Hotpot? That sounds a little contradicting right?
Haha.. Couldn't help but take picture of Mt Fuji. So what made Mt Fuji & what's underneath?Chicken and prawn collagen broth is first frozen, then presented as a mountain of shaved ice which looks a little like Bingsu & even have a Snowman on it. Underneath the heap of ice, Argentinian red shrimps, Snow Crab leg, Norwegian salmon, New Zealand mussels, chicken, and vegetables. While waiting for the heap of ice to melt, next dish - Ni-Hachi SOBA Salad is being served. The fried soba is very crispy, goes well together with the fresh greens dripped with yuzu salad dressingOmelette with Dashi crab sauce. Anchovies fried with Japanese pepper and seasoned with salt and sesameMash Buckwheat Tempura, served with matcha sea salt. The mashy texture tasted a little like yamYakitori Salt & Teriyaki Chicken which was served with 2 types of powderAnd here, the main dish after the heap of ice melted. Ingredients are very fresh & the soup is very sweetSoba, freshly made in-house was the last to be served as it will change the taste of the soup. Last but not least, The Matcha Warabi Mochi with Caramel Sauce.Souvenir from JJ who just came back from SydneyWahaha.. so tired & jetlag till she fall asleep?
