Ultimate Hawker Fest [终极街头美食节] 2014

TOUCH Community Services’ popular Ultimate Hawker Fest [终极街头美食节] will return for the third year with a unique focus on celebrating Singapore’s Hawker Heritage, as part of Singapore’s Jubilee (SG50) celebrations.

Singapore well-known food bloggers; Derrick (http://www.sgfoodonfoot.com), Maureen (http://www.misstamchiak.com/) and Ian (www.theSilverChef.blogspot.sg), hand-picked & put together more than 20 chefs to create the Ultimate menu. Coupons are priced at $50 and all profits will go to 32,000 beneficiaries under Touch Community Service, regardless of race and religion.

This year, the event will feature three food zones:

  • “Ultimate Original Recipe [食代相传]” ~ celebrates the heritage of pioneer generation hawkers through stalls helmed by chefs from the second, third and fourth generations of famous hawkers.
  •  “Ultimate Pursuit of Happiness [食膳为心]” ~ celebrates the enterprising spirit of budding chefs and hawkers by featuring individuals who left their jobs in other sectors to pursue their passion in the hawker industry.
  • “Ultimate Ingredients [食材科举]” ~ features hawkers who have added special ingredients to conventional hawker fares to create dishes that are truly a league of its own!
