MK Restaurant & Miam Miam

Ivy dated us (Angela, Charlie, Whye Wan & myself) for dinner at Westgate, so I suggested MK Restaurant cos I've been wanting to see if it meets the standard of the ones in Bangkok

MK Restaurant is one of the most competitive restaurant in Thailand, with about 400 outlets in Thailand. They have also ventured into other countries like Japan, Indonesia & yes... they opened their first outlet in Somerset313 & the 2nd outlet at Westgate last year!

We were not aware that reservations are available, thus Ivy went to 'chope' table first. All the bigger tables were reserved, so 5 of us gotta squeeze into a table for 4. Queue started to form at about 7.30pm, so be there early if you do not have any reservations

The restaurant decor, table setting, pots & utensils are exactly like the ones in Bangkok

2 types of sauces available, the traditional MK sauce & MK Spicy Sour sauce. MK sauce is spicy yet a little sweet. If you prefer it to be spicier, you can asked for chili padi & garlic. I personally prefer the Spicy Sour sauce.

Original & Tom Yum Soup $4.90 - Chicken soup is not oily, not too band. Tom Yum is sour & spicy yet not too overwhelming

MK Suki Platter $34 - ingredients were fresh

MK Assorted Vegetable Platter (L) $25

Mushroom Platter $20

Sliced Chicken, Tofu Shishamo Egg Roll, Crystal Fish Egg Ball, Shrimp Roll with Crabstick $4 each

1/4 Roast Duck & Char Siew $12.90 - Roast Duck is tender while char siew is just so-so only.

Service here is very prompt & friendly, I won't mind coming back again as it brings back memories of Bangkok =)

Then we head over to Miam Miam for desserts

2 different colors of glasses for water. Can guess why is it so? Not difficult lah.. Red is for hot/warm & blue is for iced water

My order of Mixed Berries is a little sour

Ivy & Angela had the drip coffee. Coffee is already dripped before serving to customers instead of having it dripped on the table

I had the Valrhora Chocolate Souffle $13.80

While the rest of them share Vanilla Souffle $9.80 & Matcha Souffle $10.80

The souffles are pretty good, soft yet didn't collapse. Sweetness level is just nice. Service here is also good. I'll probably come back to try the other desserts
