Birthday Lunch @ Sumiya Charcoal Grill Izakaya

Birthday celebration with the Multiply girls. This marks the last birthday celebration of the year. We have been celebrating our birthdays together for the past 3 years (I think) & it's getting difficult to organize one nowadays cos the girls are also "multiplying" ... so, this birthday celebration also marks the last planned-birthday celebrations. Moving forward, we will do birthday celebrations on impromptus!

I initially wanted the lunch at The White Rabbit but it was booked for a wedding (sad), thus I changed my choice of restaurant to Sumiya Charcoal Grill Izakaya (formally known as Kuriya Penthouse)

The restaurant is furnished with individual and communal wooden dining tables, traditional Japanese drums, water barrels, crates, as well as a selection of vintage enamel signages, copper crockery, glassware and other timeless knickknacks

Angbao from the girls & flower from Miss Alyssa. Feel so honored to receive the flower from Miss Alyssa cos she didn't give it to the rest of the girls :) 

5 of us (Sam, Angeline, Theresa, EL & myself) ordered a set of  (Y) Yokozuna Set (3-4 pax @ $168) & a set of (S) Sekiwake Set (2-3pax @ $68). Honestly, I really couldn't remember what item if from which set cos there's simply too much food being served.. but I'll try to remeber =D

Varieties for the set menu was great too, but the serving size is kind of weird. Yokozuna Set is meant for 3-4 pax, but most items served are only 1 or 2 portions. It makes it kind of difficult to share among 4 pax. 

Nevertheless, the food quality were good & it was delicious. 

Birthday cake time! Aneline bought a set of cute Hello Kitty cupcake from BreadTalk

The kiddos are fascinated by the Hello Kitty cake they whacked 90% of it, leaving only 1 spoonful for me =D

Sam tagged me on a photo from her facebook album & commented that I'm "a mother of 5" .. haha, seriously, if I have 5 of them as my kiddo, I'll definitely go deaf .. *no offense arh, ladies

Miss Alyssa fed me with that one & only spoonful of cake left for me.. haha
