Au Chocolat ... Again~

Late lunch after viewing Tulips at Gardens by the Bay. Since Sam suggested having lunch at Au Chocolat, we decide not to disappoint her even though Evelyn & myself just went 6 days ago.. OMG!



As usual we ordered 2 starters for sharing


Mushroom Bites $14
Simmer in red wine sauce & pair with freshly baked bread.


The sauce was so good we couldn't get enough, so we ordered another portion of bread $2.50


Truffle Fries $15
Wanted to order Sweet Potato Fries, but they ran out of it


Sam & Angela ordered the Frozen Hot Chocolate $12
This time round, the presentation is not as pretty as the one I had on Monday

Cottage Pie $25
Evelyn wanted to try this on Monday when we went but she settled on Steak, so she insisted on having cottage pie this time. Comfort food for her but she she couldn't finish this. 


Ivy decided on Mocha Pork Rib $35 after Evelyn & my recommendation!

Angela also decided on Beef Burguigon $26 after our recommendation

Au Chocolat Benedict $18
I was so excited to try the hollandaise sauce infused with red wine & dark chocolate, but was kind of disappointed as the sauce turned out to be a bit bland. I also happened to bite on 'quite a huge' pinch of salt on both the eggs




Roast Chicken $25 
Sam had this cos she don't take beef & the pork belly which I had on my first visit, has been taken out from the menu



This time, we managed to snap a group picture before we started eating!


And of cos... ... not forgetting desserts!

Ivy's choice - Cookies & Cream Brownie $5
Best dessert choice of all 3 desserts! 

Mine - Chocolate Tart $8
Initially wanted to try the Strawberry Tart (only available on weekends) but it's filled with Vanilla Creme filling, so I decided on this & it proofs to be a wrong decision. This is not as chocolaty as I expected & has cinnamon in it! Should have stick to the Calamansi Meringue Tart!

Sam's choice - Rose & Lychee Macron $7
Biscuit in too sweet for her, so she only ate the Lychee creme filling  the 2 cute pieces of lychee inside.

This sums up my 4th visit to Au Chocolat within 2 months, I hope I really don't get sick of it!
